I haven't seen him linked with LSU out of JC. A few rumblings about Auburn I think I saw. Is he possibly trying to go wherever Briles ends up (if anywhere at all)?

Would be nice to have this guy for the next two years.

The only transfer/JUCO QB I really really want. He's an instant impact for next year at QB position. New offensively minded coach, elite WRs, veteran line, elite RB...what more could you want.

Disclaimer - take it FWIW comment: an obsessive Baylor alum (Waco native, with a few close ties to their program) was telling me a couple days ago, with the typical smugness only Baylor fans have - and in the context that we are taking their scraps - that his BIL's whatever whatever works out with Stidham and Stidham is saying he expects Briles to be at LSU in some capacity next year and there is mutual interest from Briles, Stidham and LSU.

This is an absolute disclaimer, but thought I'd share anyway.

Only way I see Briles here is as OC because I highly doubt he'd take some admin type position. Maybe QB coach? But that's usually the OC too. I also highly doubt we hire him for such a high up job so quickly after the fallout at Baylor...

They are just connecting fake dots. There is nothing substantial to this. Alleva has said numerous times he will never hire anyone with questionable character to lead any of his sports programs.

If Briles is anywhere near LSU we are going to get killed in the media!

If we are scoring 40 points a game, beating Alabama, and Aranda is still leading the country in touchdowns allowed do you really think anyone will give a shite what the media says?

Wouldn't be surprised to see LSU end up with De'Andre Johnson

You think this because LSU gets Jimbo and is reunited with the guy he kicked off or because LSU gets Herman and he fits Herman's system?

Are we talking Art or Kendal Briles here? I would prefer neither, but I would be willing to live with Kendal

I think he'd be the best QB on the team the day he would step on campus.

Dameyune Craig now RC at LSU. Craig strong ties to Jimbo (Jimbo was his QB coach at Auburn) and FSU where Rick Trickett is the OL coach.

The QB coach at EMCC, Clint Trickett.

The same media that killed Kiffin and Petrino? Granted Briles has a lot more explaining to do, but yeah, we live in a forgiving and a forgetting society, remember that.

Well we could certainly be one likable program with a QB who hit a woman on video and a former head coach who ran a program covering up rape scandals.

Just my opinion but like Joe Pa, what Briles did will stick a little longer than falling off a motorcycle with a mistress you got hired at your school.

That makes sense. Also leads me to believe you think LSU is going to hire Jimbo.
