Told people about Smith a month ago because he had done absolutely nothing after his big game and then Ole Miss and Miss St had balling pass offenses with no talented WRs.

Imagine being a top recruit and only going to the school that guarantees your older brother gets guaranteed playing time. 
Nobody will agree to that except for teams that are desperate.
That's also embarrassing for Max. It just shows he can't get the job done himself so he has to leverage his younger brother to get any playing time.
