We still don't have an elite slot WR in this class, something our offense has been missing for a long time.

Or maybe a school with a good position coach so that he can develop?

Why are you even saying this?

Shep.

In addition, while Shep was born to be a dominant slot WR, he's still more of an elite slot prospect as opposed to an elite slot WR.

While i think Sylve's speed makes him very attractive for the slot(I hope he flips),Landry's skills are suited for the slot.He has elite agility and i would beg anyone to find a reciever with better moves in this class. The guy is special.I do agree that he's a polished, complete wr but with Boone,Randle and the other big wrs we have,Landry will have a field day in the slot. With his skills after the catch(not to mention getting open),his lack of speed will not hunder him imo.

Agreed. I would rather Landry in the slot but with the talent we've recruited at WR, if Sylve doesn't switch, then Landry is about as good a fallback plan at slot that you can have.

I think Landry can play the slot. Remember that Early played the slot when we had D Bowe and Buster Davis on the outside.

How is he ranked as a three star and #43 WR overall?

I think he plays in an option offense. IIRC he only had like 16 catches last year. Definitely a stud though, it's a shame he doesn't play in a more passing oriented offense right now.

I think Landry can play where ever he wants, think what he would do to LBers or a SS. Kid is the best WR prospect out of La in decades. There is not one situation, position or play I cannot see using Jarvis in, return game, long ball Wr, to the slot and even short screens, the kid is just that good.

Story
Landry
Morrow

and maybe Eli Rogers if that gets us Bridgewater would be absolutely sick yet again for a WR class

R U watchin the same highlight film I am? This guy is alright, but not exactly a game breaker. He is a big body that can catch the ball in coverage which is needed, but Id say he's rated correctly as a three star. If this guy runs a 4.3 then some of the guys he's playing against must run 4.2s. Id say hes 4.6 at best.

HealthCareHobo, are you talking about Story? He ran a 4.37 at a Nike camp about a month ago.I do agree that he doesn't play fast and isn't polished but his ceiling is high.Similar to Alonzo Lewis imo.Great athletes with size that aren't polished but have huge potential. Not to worry though,he's not coming to LSU.

Yeah I am. All I have to say is don't look at camps man they are all hype. If all these kids ran 4.3's why the hell are the top wr's at the combine running 4.4's. 4.3 hand time is alot different then 4.4 elctric time. Hell I ran 4.57 hand time in high school and I ran 4.79 electric time. I'm not taking anything away from the guy and hope he lands in BR but he's not a game breaker, just a good position reciever.

I can't disagree. He's much better in camp settings than in games. That is not a good thing imo but he does have lots of potential.I view him sort of like i view Landry. While Landry impresses at camps because of his pure football ability(hands, ability to get separation etc),he'll never blow anyone away with measureables.Story blows people away with his measurabales but lacks pure football skills.Strange how that works sometimes.
