Wonder if the new D-Line Coach hire had anything to do with this? Maybe a dislike while at USC??

Good get for the ducks.
It'll all come out in the wash so they say.

I guess better for him to switch now than six months later - at least in regards to LSU’s class.
I liked what I saw of his play. He will be a good player I think. Needs add some weight, but the tools are definitely there.
I honestly think college football is better when Oregon is good as well. I like what Cristobal is doing up there.
Hopefully though, at least for this class, the Cali kids see Oregon and the rest of the PAC-12 big dogs as rebuilds and not places to go if you’re interested in competing for a national championship and also playing in a system that will get you ready for Sunday’s.
With Herbert coming back and how bad the rest of that conference is, I wouldn’t be shocked to see them run the table though if they can get by Auburn.

Clemson does. When you commit, you’re not allowed to make other visits. If you do, they pull the offer.

Clemson can do that. We're not on their level yet
Wut? We’re talking about recruiting. Clemson has finished ahead of us exactly ONE time in the last 10 years, according to 247 recruiting rankings. They just made a decision to play hardball about committing - that I applaud. Wish LSU (and all schools) would show the same balls.

Clemson recruits a certain type of personality and mindset when it comes to their players and by doing it they also alienate a good amount of great players as well who aren’t willing to buy in.
Clemson doesn’t even do official visits with recruits. He makes them do unofficials only.....because if you show up it shows who is actually interested. It’s honestly ingenious, but I think it would be received poorly by recruits if other schools tried to follow suit. You’d want to be at the place that implemented the philosophy.....not the one that copied it to try and cut off contact between young men and institutions that will basically define the remainder of their lives.
