Exactly. Amite has had some studs come through there the past 20 years. I've heard all about them but the common thread was "they didn't have the grades."

Name 5?

The context was players in state. Wilson is not from louisiana

Didn't see that in OP, thought it was generally DT prospects.

For being a small town, I would put the talent at amite against any school with a similar population in this state. If you pay attention to high school football in Louisiana, you see amite in the dome hunt almost every year.

He's big LSU lean. Dad hates bama. I'm from tangi, take it for what it's worth. Usually amite is all bama. This kid is different.

That doesn't = having multiple power 5 level players every year.

Name 5 power 5 level players in the past 10 years

All of them were academically qualified! I was responding to the notion that the players that don't go to power 5 schools from Amite, don't go because of academics.

You think Memphis is in a power 5 conference?

After talking to my buddy that coaches in the parish he named 3 off of one team at Amite. He said either 04-05 Amite had James Burns, Jarrett Brown, and Brandon Brumfield. He said all were legit power 5 level players that never got the shot because of grades.

I have followed football in this parish for 25 years and I don't believe either of those players had the talent to play power 5 ball. However, I'll give you those three. Did they play college ball anywhere?

Not sure. I'll have to text my buddy. The way he talked they all went to JUCO and didn't make it but I'm not 100%.

Brandon Brumfield is a family member of mine. He was talented, but not power 5 level.
