I get your point, but I'm going to judge the hire on wins and losses in the fall, not whether we land any one particular player in recruiting.
Obviously, you need to get great players to achieve great results, but I don't really care where the players come from or who they are.
Having said that, Orgeron has given me no reason to believe he won't kill it in recruiting. It was great that he was able to hold the 2017 class together, but even better that he was some to get Chaisson and Phillips at the end. I've got no reason to think 2018 won't be more of the same.

Obviously.
You can judge a recruiting ace on his recruiting ability by how good he is at convincing kids to go to a school though.
This kid is in his state and in his position group as well

I'm not saying Ed will be a failed coach if he doesn't sign these guys. It's definitely about wins and losses, I agree.
My original response was to "don't judge O by his ability to pull Sopsher and Lee." Well that's his job, if he does it I'll think more highly of him and if he doesn't I'll think less. Why would I not make a judgment based off of this?
