Being that Hines and Rosenthal are now tallied in the OL...

I think so and I also think we are good except for maybe another OT if there's a good one out there to get. If not then next year we need two more studs at OT and 2 more OGs. We need at least 2 more DLman and not the bro but Sopsher himself and another top 15 type of DE/DT. We need to replinish every year. We have plenty of NTs but we need a replacement for Lawrence and Fehoko just in case they leave.

I know we are loaded at this spot for 2020 but if we are going to keep rotating veterans then we need 2 more top guys period and I think we'll get them. We also need Big Ed and Shelvin to step up their game a bit more. I think the kid from Houston will be a stud NT. We got Roy into the fold now if we can get Jackson back and land the kid from North La for 2020 we'll as well as landing 2 more in 2019 LSU will be well on its way back to a real Bama type of defense.

Our LBers are the real deal and it's too bad we lost Tyler because that guy was going to be a good one along with Phillips but Queen and Baskerville will soften that blow some. I think this years haul is the real deal as well. If LSU keeps plugging away at QB/OL/DL/LB then this team is going to be in the playoffs very soon.

We will get our share of RBs/WRs/DBs every year. Now all we really need is a couple of real stud 6'6 260 Lbs balanced TEs to make the offense complete but I think that will come with the development of the offense. It's important to have guys like that to stay physical in the passing game and to have a go to target in 3rd down and RZ situations. We do have Sullivan and Dee to soften that blow at this time though and can use those two as WR/TE type of players. We really need to get those two involved in the short passing game and create a great screen game in this offense.

I think it would be worth the time put in this week to work on that a whole bunch. A great screen game can be very dangerous in college. I'm looking forward to the mix of our running game and passing game next year too. I think it will be dynamic and nearly unstoppable with a year under everyone. If we can keep a QB in this system for 2 or 3 years then start him along with the same WRs he's had in practice to work with this offense will take a huge leap as well. Myles B should have that when he's ready to start and Burrow will be even better with his crew next year along with some new RBs to hand off to.

LSU isn't going anywhere people. Anyone who thought differently has their head in the sand. GT

I think they still want to take one more this class. You can never have enough quality OL.

Big Ed played very well against Auburn and has been very consistent all year.

Coach O said he would on both sides of the ball and to date I have no reason not to believe what he said. Football games are won at the line of scrimmage. Was true 50 years ago and is still true today.

Oline can be really really good next year! Hell they can end up being really good this year. They seem to be coming together!

If you can get another elite OT, you absolutely take it.

As it has turned out, LSU signed 6 OL in the '18 class: Rosenthal, Hines, Lewis, Traore, Wire and Smith and 3 DL in Livingston,, Jenkins and Cotton.

In the '19 class we have 4 OL in Bradford, Turner, Perry and Thomas and 1 DL in Evans.

Pretty clear the focus needs to be on the DL. Leading candidates are the Sopsher brothers (although that has a Leonard-Lenard feel to it). I think we need 2-3 legitimate DL high school recruits and if we go JUCO may be better to go DL rather than OL that route.

Agree. The OL is good unless a stud wants aboard. Need DL and another rush LB. OL is top 3 most important positions to recruit (qb, dl) and we have. Need attrition to justify taking more this cycle imo. Spots are limited and we have other needs to fill.

I don't think we NEED a JUCO DL but we do need 2 more IMO. 4 OL(2 tackles, 2 inside) a year and 3 DL a year is the goal

He did and I never said he isn't playing well. I'm saying that if he works harder and takes it more seriously, he could be a Devin White at DL. The guy is naturally strong so if he works a little harder he would be unstoppable. Fehoko plays as good as he does and maybe better but gives up 25/30 lbs to him. This isn't a slight on him, rather a vote of confidence that he could be dangerous on every play.

I'm telling you that the guy has a chance to go top 10 overall in the draft. He has that type of ability. People are so sensitive on this site when it comes to certain things that are actually true but then will jump all over others when it's not deserving. It's the funniest shite.

Completely agree, especially at the BUCK position. K'Lavon Chaisson will be entering his 3rd year next season. Ray Thornton and Andre Anthony are solid. Jarell Cherry is a prospect to keep an eye on, but nothing for 2019 at this point and nobody really pops out for the 2020 list as a recruit that LSU is leading for at this point.

LSU would obviously want one of the Mississippi DL to go with Sopsher. But I think once you start getting into the low 4* types, LSU may think what they already have on the roster is better than that. A guy like Sorrells, for example, LSU (and other schools like Georgia/Florida) haven't seemed to be that enthralled with. I don't think they believe a guy like that is close to Lawrence/Fehoko, or even as good as Joe Evans.

So I think they'll be content if they get both Sopshers, and then ride with guys like Cotton, Farrell, Logan for the future.
