I'll take Debo Jones and Honey Badger skills all day long.
Both were decently ranked.
Mo Claiborne and DJ Chark are better examples of diamonds in the rough IMO

41 out 44 starters in the pro bowl were not 5 or 4 star recruits
But we are talking college! Bama gets the most 5 star recruits and has the most championships as of late...just saying...

Goes to show how overrated recruiting really is. Many players are given stars just to sell magazines to the largest fan bases. It also makes for interesting conversation. The reality is recruiting is important, but not nearly as important as the fans make it out to be. I'll take a 2-star Jacob Hester every day over a 4 or 5 star anytime! Geaux Tigers!

It's not really overrated at all if you truly look at it.

which means 51/88 WERE 4* and 5*. The pool of people in the 3 and under is significantly larger than the 4 & 5, yet the higher rated people still made up a much larger percent of the Pro-Bowlers. I'm honestly not sure what this stat is supposed to prove. Of course an unknown guy can make it, but the 5* guys have a better success rate.
