I think CL will be better then LL

you know laron landy was a four year starter, an all american high draft pick and i really do like loston better. He was everywhere in that under armour game. We can only wish and hope he is at least as good as LL

Shep could end up being the player that pulls in all the accolades but at which position. He's one of the most explosive players I've seen, but where is he gonna play? If he gets more reps at slot... what kind of hands does he have? Anybody know? It kinda matters.Harvin is explosive but the guys also known for having great hands.

this class is amazing. We at least got one solid player at every position. If we can get solid play at QB and Chavis be the Chief we are all hoping for, we might be unstoppable

With the last few hauls Les pulled, he really won't have any excuses for failure. He's got the horses.

with the dc and this recruiting class, we better win a NC or at least some SEC championships. No excuses.

Johns,Claiborne,&Calhoun will all be big time players.

I just really hope that Mingo and Monty will give us two actual speed rushers in the future unlike the lumbering DE's we've grown used to. If there is any knock against the D Line its the lack of good consistent edge rushers...I think we might have a couple

you pick our 3 smallest recruits. i love it! if they are big time players along with everyone else we are unbeatable!
sorry edit: Drayton Calhoun is not a small recruit. My apologies.

I would prefer 4 championships with this class, but man Florida Texas and they who shall not be named have recruited well the past few years. We just better be mentioned in the same breath as those schools. Chavis and co. should do some amazing things with these boys so I'm pretty pumped.

this class is so big i dont think our class next year will be even close. I think we will bring in some awesome players (seastrunk) but as a whole nothing can top this class. And i think two years from now we will be competing for the MNC. I dont think we will quite be ready for next year with new defensive coaches and jefferson has still only started 2 games, so he is still young

Mingo and montgomery have such an upside its not going to be fair to opposing teams OL

All due respect for RS & RR, but the defensive talent signed 2-4-09 will out preform in the next four years.

I would love to get our 2003 LSU tigers back. All we need from the offense is about 17-24 points and the defense will take care of the rest.
I really do think our defense will be beastly in about 2 years.

There are too many.
Randle is as sure as anyone in the country.
Brockers (but i need to see newer film)
Loston
Janzen Jackson
I will say Akiem Hicks surprises a lot of people next year. He will be in the 2 deep rotation and potentially push for a starting spot (I am taking a leap of faith on this one...no film is available, but his measurables and the fact we were willing to sign a JUCO guy tells me a lot about him).
If I had to say a "bust" at this point:
Chris Davenport. I think he could eventually move to OT/OG.

our offense will score a lot more than 17-24 ppg
Posted on 2/4/09 at 11:26 pm to lsusteltz16
Yeah, its going to be interesting to see how it all shakes out with the team as far as attrition(bad grades or transfers). As we stand now how many could we take next class?
Posted on 2/4/09 at 11:28 pm to TrapperJohn
I have no idea how many but probably only like a UF/USC type of class. And im not saying our offense will only score 17-24, im saying hopefully our defense can get back to the days when we only need 17-24 to win

Seriously there are too many good players to pick just one or two but ill do my best.
Loston would be my best bet just cause he reminds me of Laron Landry.
And Randle has HUGE HUGE potential.
Mingo and Mongomery just look like freaks that could play several positions and i think they will be highly coveted in a few years.
And i think after those 4 Shep and Downs would round out the 1st round of the draft.
Thats what im hoping for anyway.

If anyone almost takes out his cousin and injuring the ref at the same time at the UA All-American game... you know that anyone is going to be a beast.. (Craig Loston)
