I'm trying to understand the logic behind all this madness (Heron/RN related)

Case 1: Robert Nkemdiche visits LSU on the last weekend before signing day, the last day before the dead period, with his best friend and father. He gives false info to Ole Miss all week, telling them he isn't going to Baton Rouge. Thursday Night happens, and hes en route to Baton Rouge Friday morning.
BUT.. LSU has absolutely no shot, and you a moron if you think there's even a slight chance.
Case 2: Frank Heron visits Texas this weekend, the last weekend before signing day and the dead period, while also telling pay sites that he is shutting everything down. Since he is going to a "prestigious" campus as Texas, its a big deal.
BUT.. everyone is in panic mode, and is expecting the worst.
Is the LSU fan base weak minded?

LSU is a big boy. We get used by recruits, part of the game. Schools like ole miss don't have that expectation.

Any time you attempt to understand posters' rationales, you will only create headaches for yourself and trigger idiotic responses (I've been there before). BUT, better to do so on this board than the rant, because you'd be toying with fools on there.

I get where you're coming from. I was thinking the same thing about some fans, who think nothing good can happen for us. If we get a late visit from someone, we have no shot. But if one of our commits goes on a late visit, he's gone. It's funny actually.
I think that we have a shot with RN, and that Herron visiting Texas is not good. Any time a recruit takes a late visit, you have to assume that it is more than just a token visit.

I take back what I said. Don't know wtf I was thinking, except maybe a visit to LSU or Texas is looked upon by recruits and is a great free trip. Much like the hat n the table. Ole miss has nothing to lose, as they are not expected to get these kinds of guys.
