This is why you're not a coach.

Yes, the idea that Leavitt is backing up is laughable!

Thank god your not CLK

We would stand around with our head up our arse and miss out on better options waiting on a player to see if he wins a court decision and a player coming off an injury that could not be ready for game 1 and he may not be the same player he was before the injury

Oh and leavitt ain’t taking backup NIL money

Scott set records in college, won a Juco natty, and won the FCS Heisman.

That's great

He wasn't an SEC QB. That is what he means.

The FCS Heisman is relevant to my comment. The best player in the FCS is usually typically better than many Power 5 (Power 4) QBs. We are delusional about this SEC QB foolishness. This year, Pavia (Vanderbilt) and Trinidad Chambliss (Ole Miss), who transferred from Div II Ferris State, are examples of guys who were under/over recruited come out of high school. It took a Lane Kiffin to go get him, and build a system that fit his unique skill set. Scott's misfortune, was signing with Les Miles in the first place, instead of a more QB friendly system.

I've said here before, the SEC is not a "QB conference". Danny Etling was recruited and developed at Purdue. Even the great Joe Burrow, was developed (primarily at Ohio State).

We were 9-3 that year. He started Marcus Randall but had Jamarcus and Flynn as backups. Marcus was overwhelmed in his first start and the defense played like shite. Marcus had some decent moments.
However we came within a whisker of beating an undefeated Auburn team and the Iowa loss was a blown coverage.

Don't post if you don't know your arse from a hole in the ground.

Sam's talent is not that good..flashy at times, but overall not what LSU needs and the injury means LSU is rolling the dice when it doesn't have to, LSU holds all the cards/bags, don't misplay them by paying Leavitt! Big mistake!
