247 already has him as a 4 star, but his composite is a 5 star. 247 has him rated at 96 points, but his composite is much higher at 0.9889. It doesn't matter either way, we want Desmond to be a Tiger!!

My UF contact and a very close friend of mine said he informed the staffs last night he was signing with LSU.

While I agree differentiating a player between arbitrary stars is stupid, I do think how it affects class rankings is important. These kids want to be part of a top ranked class and when Bama kids consistently get bumps while LSU kids who are 5 star recruits for years but get knocked down right before signing day, there’s clearly something wrong with that.

It only bothers me for two reasons.
1) it isn’t fair to the athletes who get rated lower simply because of who they sign with
2) In some cases, it is obvious that a certain site is trying to aid certain programs by boosting the ratings for key recruits and overall class rankings

This precisely is why I made the thread. People that are winners want to be winners in everything in life, even when it comes to this. And now it may start to effect their NIL money, you can better believe some will be thinking about it. If 5* gives leverage you will use it.
