Pushing 300 lbs, this would certainly be a HUGE surprise.

Yeah, I think next year would be imperative.
I think in Rivers' case, he's such a project that it's not out of the question he's here 5 years.
We should get a better gauge on where these guys are at in the Spring game, since we'll finally get to see them both do extensive work.

no, I was assuming Liggins was selling him on "lets act like its a college party and do some hooking up (on the field)"... at Ole Miss they'd probably play together (but not win very many ball games)

he is definately a big guy. But in his highlights he doesn't move like someone at 290 or even 270. I am glad to have him(if true) b/c he looks like a great athlete. And if he can make it at QB, even better.

Getting him down to 250 may be a stretch (270 is probably more realistic). It's not like the kid has a beer gut or something. He's just built like a damn freight train.

He looks like he's carrying a lot of muscle. If he's 290, him at 250 looks like he'd be ripped. Especaially if he lifts weights.

Calling a guy (an athlete at that) we are recruiting a cheesbuger is pissing on him when , in fact, he no where near looks like you describe. Do you think he would think that is a compliment? What do you think he would do to someone who called him a cheesburger to his face, thank him or kick his a$$?
Compare his body type to that of Lorenzen. Totally different body types. This kid is huge and again I say fat does not describe him. Nor dos cheesburger. If anyone needs to get over themselves, it is you.

You are spot on. Those on this board who think Liggins is an SEC caliber QB have not watched his film. The only similarity between Liggins and Rohan Davey/Jamarcus Russell is Liggins' race and physical stature. From what I have seen on film, Liggins' arm is not particularly strong and, worse, inaccurate. I hope that if LSU signs him it will be for the purpose of moving him to DE or DT because he will never see the field at LSU as a QB.
