I genuinely believe the omission is a 50/50 battle, thus not including him in the "more likely to" list.

After years of dropped passes, the only kid that I am sweating is Quinn.

We need a sure handed WR that runs perfect routes and will catch the hard ball for a first down.

If we get the others inculding LF, then that is gravy.

He completely slipped my mind

But he fits into the more likely than not category. I have a hard time seeing him playing in California.

When was the lasst time lsu didn't sign a great class? Worrying about Alabama on the recruiting trail is a futile effort, they're going to have a great class as long as saban is at the helm and no one is going to stop that.

WTF is this shite?

No one is trying to stop Alabama from signing a great class, where does this arrogance come from?

the concern is that while, yes, it is only August, the fact is that at this point in the recruiting season, LSU is TENTH in the SEC by Rivals rankings. How is it that Vandy at this point in the season has a higher ranked class than LSU? Why isn't LSU's class keeping pace with the other top schools in the conference? I think that is what the concern is. Recruits seem to be taking more of a wait and see attitude with LSU than other schools. LSU fans are only asking, "Why is that?"

It's not ALL about Alabama.

I happen to think LSU will finish in the top 5, not getting all the recuits they want, but landing one or two they didn't expect.

Oh, and to answer your question, 2012. Zero 5 stars, no running backs, and only a single, project quarterback talent from Mississippi. Not saying the class wasn't good, but it wasn't up to the usual great standards of a recruting class for LSU.

Yes, you are an outsider. Go back outside.

We are in the mix for around 9 5* recruits. Recruits of that caliber want the limelight and they want to be wined and dined. They aren't turning down free trips across the country where they get hooked up with hot chicks and get free stuff. They aren't turning down the chance to feel like a star and announce their decision on national TV at the AA games.

LSU is going to get great publicity to go along with the #1 recruiting class filled with elite talent.

So in the meantime shut up and DWI.

Have you missed the Hootie Jones and Cam Robinson threads recently? When another teams recruiting efforts are brought up over here 9/10 times it's Alabama. Don't be obtuse about it because it bothers you. That's not arrogance it's calling a spade a spade.

Yes, and the fact also is that lsu hasn't missed anyone high on their board right now other than Quille. Are you willing to trade a good class in August for a great class in February because you weren't patient enough to wait on the top targets? The coaches can somewhat control when a commitment is made public but they can not control when a commitment is initially made. Top guys wait every year and lsu happens to be at or near the top for an absurd amount this year. You're forgetting that a recruiting class is a collection of individual personalities, and a lot of the guys lsu is after aren't quite ready to commit in August and its silly to blame them for that.

quote:

What? Lsu filled a lot of needs in that class with very good football players, specifically linebacker and defensive back. They also signed the starting tailback in that class though you're claiming none. You're a chicken little

It's fricking August. While other schools have filled up their class, the core of our class is still uncommitted, publicly at least. That's what happens when you lead or are a leader for 9 5 star players. They're being recruited by everyone in the country. They'll have their moment in the spotlight whether you like it or not. And Vandy does not have a higher ranked class according to 24/7.

Who do you think we miss on. Fournette, Robinson, Hootie? Give me your' insight.

And yet that class has produced potentially 9 starters. It's not all about rankings. Hell our best DB was a low rated 3 star.

I appreciate the effort, but this board will always be about 60% shite show, which we've tried to explain to the more level headed posters on the SECrb, and requested admin help for.

This site has been popular for years in regards to LSU, so every limp dick who is still pissed about Saban leaving has signed up and trickled over here. The vast majority of your posters had to care, and therefore know enough about, Bama recruiting to seek out the SECrb.

Eventually it may even out, but for now just try to appreciate what we go through.

Yes, I stay away from those pissing wars.

No, an that isn't close to what I said. All I said was that recruits seem to be taking more of a wait and see attitude with LSU than other top schools. I don't blame them after the Clemson loss, I'd want to check out LSU's new OC first as well.
quote:

I'm not forgetting shite, and I'm not blaming anyone for anything, I'm just stating facts. And I also understand some of the LSU fans' frustrations, but nowhere did I say I was frustrated with the process. I even said I expect LSU to sign a top 5 class.
quote:

What? Lsu filled a lot of needs in that class with very good football players, specifically linebacker and defensive back. They also signed the starting tailback in that class though you're claiming none.

I didn't say they didn't fill needs, all I said was it wasn't great by LSU standards.
quote:

You're a chicken little

Jesus fricking christ, what's wrong with you people? I'm not scared of shite, I already said I expect LSU to sign a great class this year. Why is it that just because I said I understand LSU fans' frustrations, all of a sudden I'm panicked?

Maybe you shouldn't jump to so many conclusions.

I don't care if LSU signs the #1 class or not, but I do expect a top 5 class. If they don't sign the #1 class, I suggest YOU shut up and DWI. You won't find me crying about it.

God DAMN. Did I say I didn't like it?

ALL I frickING SAID WAS THAT I ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND THE FRUSTRATIONS. I DID NOT SAY I SHARED THEM.

My insight is that wecould conceivably miss out on all 3 and still end up with a top 5 class - AND I WOULD BE OKAY WITH THAT.

YES, YES, AND frickING YES. All I said was it wasn't a "GREAT" class by LSU standards.

Well, I disagree. Generally this board is a little more circumspect, but apparently people aren't willing to hear some slightly varied opinions in this thread.

I believe you meant to refer to MY panties.

I just don't like when some Bama fan comes on here to lecture us on what we should think about our class.

I also don't like the fact that I come on here and simply say that I understand some of our fans frustrations and get my shite jumped.

I'm not a star gazer, and I won't melt down if we don't sign the #1 class, but I understand expectations are high, and the recruits aren't signing on as quickly as people would like.
