When I see things like this, the question that always comes to my mind is: Do these kids really need/crave THAT much attention? Personally, coaches calling and texting me constantly would aggravate the hell out of me. Kids like this just seem egocentric.
Of course it's egocentric, but it's more than Coaches. Bama has a Twitter team that zeroes in on EVERY one of their recruits and retweets and comments on any and all Tweets these kids put out there. These people act like they know the kids and will play up any stupid thing an LSU fan puts out there. They jumped all over the Landon Collins quote that "LSU fans threw dirt on me," and made sure EVERY kid considering us heard that. It's really creepy, but it gets results.

Cam Simms should have been offered he had an amazing week at UA game. Loosing 5 instate guys is unacceptable. We did poach Texas but with a new sheriff in Austin those days may soon be over. Strong is going to turn that thing around. Our relationships with LA highschool coaches has diminished. The highschools in Alabama are feeder programs for bama. Kids don't ever get out of Bama, there grades are fixed and there channeled in to pro bama schools. Julio Jones couldn't pass highschool so they transferred him to a different school so he could pass. Saban has alabama highschools on the payroll! Kwon Alexander is the only player other than josh wilford to slip through the cracks. We CANT pull kids from bama!

Jamis Winston says hello. Bama only has 4 kids from Bama in their current class.

Your trolling obviously. LSU has done a better job under Miles of keeping In state talent than any other program. If this year turns into a trend, then we have a problem, but supposedly changes are being made.

Not offering Simms was the right call even if it did cost LSU CRob which isn't a sure bet.

Not sure where all of the smack talk about Sims comes from... Big physical guy that tore it up at the UA game. Had a decent game but was getting a lot of attention for the way he performed in the drills leading up to the game. Sure, Seedy may have been higher on the board at the time, but look how that turned out. And please spare me the who "didn't want to camp" angle... we have offers out to guys that have never camped or visited. Flame away, you inglorious bastards.

Nothing negative toward you, but I personally question the intelligence/character of a recruit that is successfully recruited by a "Twitter Team".

I agree, but it is what it is, some of the higher profile kids could be considered "attention whores."
That's why the Brumfield's and Washington's are refreshing.
Eta: not sure if anyone ever credited the attention they receive on Twitter as swaying them, but remember, Saban is a Psych Major and barraging kids with Bama 24/7 may be his plan.

Ugh, is this the same guy that always post the Jacob Hester 2 star post or is it different people? I swear, it's like Groundhog Day with this post. I hate this post.

BTW, I like Patrick Peterson and he was a 5 star.

I gave you the first up vote because I like your line of thinking. That's how championships are won.

The "stars aren't a big deal arguement is literally comical. If stars don't matter, than why can't my Ragin Cajuns score even at TD in TS? If it doesn't matter it doesn't matter right? ULL's 2,3 and occasional 4 star class should be able to compete w/ LSU's 3,4 and sometimes 5 star class right?

Offensive lineman are the hardest to predict, a 2* TE or DL can more to OL and perform at at high level. A tweeter in high school can get into the right weightlifting program and add 20-30 pounds and become dominant.
Skill positions and DL is a bit easier and that's were you see more of a difference in those 2* guys vs 4*

Exactly. There will always be exceptions, but 4 and 5 stars will be better than 2 and 3 stars the vast majority of the time.

There are a lot of gumps that think they should have gotten a new oc last year and we'll see how kiffen works out. If he's a bust will you still be sucking nicks prick? There are many wise men who have said, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Most kids that are rated 5 stars is because of height, weight, speed, and a successful high school program. Les measures CHEST.

"a RB that was only a 2* named Jacob Hester"
