From the look on his mom's face, I think she was really surprised he didn't choose LSU. He must have been stringing his family along too.

Girlfriend? Probably not. Seriously, if your going ot a college because of a girl, well, your probably not that bright anyway. I can understand a normal student doing this, but a 5 star athlete. Come on Landon. She will be f'ing around on your soon enough and I am sure you will being doing the same to her.

Also we allegedly played the scholarship game too. I'd love to hear her gpa, act scores, etc from anyone connected to dutchtown. I've heard out of state was waived. Normally, that's around a 28 on the act.

I don't know many who actually did marry their High School sweetheart, and know even less who are still married to them.

I know only a couple but other than that all of the people I knew broke up. I'm just saying they think their highschool girlfriend is the one when they are in highschool.

If it has been mentioned, I have not seen it. In my opinion, Collins is foolish to commit to Alabama, because without Saban and the type of DC that Saban maintains on his staff, Alabama will be a mediocre SEC West team. Fact of the matter is that Saban will not be at Alabama for the majority of Collins career.

If what he says is true about how he has known he wanted to go to Bama for 2 years, then she followed him to Bama.

I find that very very hard to believe with the way his mom reacted last night. She would have reacted much more positively for her son. Imagine being a mom knowing your son is going to a school because of a girl.

Man, some posters are getting really classy with their posts. Probably a lot of truth that most posters to this board are kiddos. Still, it would be nice if we cleaned up our act a bit!

he is a child. it hurts to lose such a prospect and we as fans of LSU don't understand why he would look elsewhere, but people--especially young people--do the unexpected. alabama is a great school, they recruit hard and it is not surprising given the fact you can closely follow just about any team from anywhere that he would pick someone other than the home team. i wish him luck and hope he goes 0fer v. the tigers.

How do you guys think we got Russell Sheppard? I used to actually talk to Russell when he was in high school and he flat out told me he was coming to LSU because his love was there. I mean he is a young man in love. Its easy for us to say don't worry about her or he can get other girls. He obviously doesn't want other girls. He damn sure didn't want to be at LSU thinking about who was banging her at Bama.

Uh huh she knew where he was going so for the last two years she worked her arse off to get that academic scholarship to Bama so that she could follow him there.

Sure...

Come off it Saban had them give the GF a scholly in order to entice Landon into going to Bama and it worked. Hey, whatever that's recruiting for you but own up to it. You're just a fan you don't have to save face.

Probably would not of hurt as bad if he would of made the decision to announce to peace out his state 6 months ago! Devall didn't string Lsu along, I felt good for him that he gets to go to college and play football. Collins on the other hand is pure tigerbait!

If he is under 18, won't momma have to sign off on his LOI? don't think that will happen, from the looks of last night. But it is a ways away
