Game stats from MaxPreps

quote:

# Athlete Name C Att Yds C% Avg TD Int Lng QB Rate

2 Colin Hurley (Sr) 12 18 211 .667 17.6 1 2 68 85.4

He also fumbled twice.

A couple of longer passes that were money though.

A lot of the statements being made in this thread are dumb.

On the decision to reclassify- he has a bunch of reps at the high school level already. What will one more year at the level gain him that practicing with the college team, getting in that strength program will not? The only way this hurts him is if he gets impatient with the lack of playing time and transfers before his body fully matures.

The comments about how accuracy cannot improve are silly. Accuracy can improve in 2 ways- 1) Improving footwork and mechanics 2) Getting stronger 3) Improving knowledge of coverages and decision making

Acting like Hurley or any high school QB is somehow maxed out in those 3 areas is foolish.

If he has the work ethic and mental aptitude that the LSU staff seems to think he has, he absolutely can improve his accuracy. We'll see if he has what it takes when he gets to campus.

Dang this is a 180 from what I have seen about this kid 3-4 months ago on this board. You would’ve thought this kid was the Joe Burrow with how much hype he was getting.
