JFF wouldn't have won the heisman without the Bama win. Big 12-2-2+2 doesn't make the papers like it use to.
SEC helps, but so does having 10 wins and a Heisman winner. I agree as another battered aggie. the last 2 years that we went 9-4, we followed then up with 7-6 seasons. Tannehill was the QB in the 2010 season, returned and had a heartbreaking season primarily due to defensive backfield depth IMO.

Yeah, it's been a while since a Big XII Qb won the Heisman

Only 2 of the last 4 years.
ETA: A&M is going to do well in the SEC. People thinking they just got lucky with JFF are not looking at the big picture. Sherman recruited some good talent, now they have a coach to take it to the next level, that plus joining the SEC has given them a lot of momentum.
