Ricks was NEVER coming to LSU. This is all set up by Saban. He does this to Grandstand.
1-Ricks’ Brother goes to Alabama and left LSU to be there.
2-Ricks waited until the day after signing day so the attention could be on him and Bama. This is done by Saban’s instruction.
3-The attention given to LSU has always been fake.
4-The “last minute” decision was made long ago.
Saban knows LSU’s potential and does every damn thing he can to hurt LSU in the eyes of recruits and the Media. This entire show is put on to highlight Saban’s recruiting vs LSU. After LSU and Brian Kelly beat his arse this year Saban will put on a show at every opportunity because he knows his time is running out.

well this comment was in response to someone trying to claim Alabama isn’t a better program than us over the last 4 years (wonder why 4 years was chosen and not 5 or 10?) So over the last 4 years, Bama has 3 playoff appearances to our 1.
It shouldn’t be hard to admit we aren’t on Bama’s level because every data point would say that we aren’t.

It’ll start to balance out. Saban’s biggest negative recruiting tool has been that LSU’s coach is Miles or O. “Business decisions” won’t carry the same weight especially with LA boys.

Who cares. Go look at their 7 five stars from 2021. None scare me into thinking other teams can’t compete or have better players. Also half their signees end up in the portal. I like great high school players but transfer portal has changed the game in many ways. Bama can’t just hold on to every player they recruit now.

Success on the field is the only thing that changes this.... LSU beat Bama this year in spite of all those top recruiting classes and in spite of Bama hoovering up the best transfer portal talent last year... But we have to repeat, such that the message becomes, going to Bama is not a guarantee of playing in Atlanta or the CFP.

The way I see it is all the best coaches will tell you the same thing: “it’s not about them, it’s about us.”
If it’s not LSU game week, he doesn’t give a shite what LSU does, and is certainly not going out of his way to stick it to us like it’s some personal vendetta. His top priority is getting the best players for his team. Your post makes it seem like it’s more important that we don’t get him.
That’s not Saban’s MO. He’s about his team, and frick all the others. He doesn’t wake up every day thinking “how can I mess with LSU today?”
And to think he does is childish.
