I still think he is a greyshirt if Miles gets more committs than schollies avail, which might push him to ULL (just my opinion though). If he is smart he will keep his options with ULL open, just in case. The early playing might mean more to him then LSU, you can't blame the kid for this. Plus his gf is there, but then again a hour up the road isn't too far a way either.

Noone thought a guy like Anders would ever play for Bama, and he was their best pass rusher. Don't understand why people scoff at players who can rush the passer, no matter their size.

Yes, I can.

Houston knew full-well that he was a 3-star prospect that was damn lucky to have received an offer from LSU. He committed to us with no pre-conceived notion that he'd be on the field early, and he already had offers from other schools that would've been able to get him on the field early.

I hope that Houston Bates honors his committment to LSU, and I foresee him getting his shot at MLB within 3 years. Until then, it's fitness, special teams, learning the system, and enjoying college life.

DaveDoggy, I'd like to think that he earned his offer from LSU, rather than being damned lucky. However, you're 100% correct in expecting him to honor his commitment to LSU. I know I expect him to.

All recruits should honor their commitments. If they're not sure about accepting an offer, they shouldn't commit. Occasionally, I'm sure that situations change and extenuating circumstances arise after accepting an offer. In these cases, if a recruit decides to renege on his commitment, he should inform the offering University ASAP so they can both go their separate ways.
