After watching a bunch of poorly coached highly touted players mail it in at the end of last year. I am not going to mind an all out effort from a few tweeners.

It's not like it's that huge of a difference.

Southern Cal was also pushing for Bates to camp there.
like how you compare OSU in the NC to LSU's worst defense in a decade

thats an understatement...dudes absolutely fricking psycho on the field!

I sure would hope thats how every player LSU signs is on the field. Last time I checked, a consistently top 10 program should be selective.

Just asking, but you guys wouldn't take Laurinaitis or Pozloszny (sp?) as a MLB for LSU? They're both starters in the NFL or projected to be.

I think everyone would take that caliber LB. But there is a reason they were high draft picks--they are rare commodities.

Just because you take a white guy that has similar numbers, then I don't think you can assume he will turn into that quality you speak of.

I actually think that passing on Mauti from Mandeville two years ago was one of Peveto's dumbest moves. That guy looked like a stud in the Army game, especially compared to Prater. He's already logging time for PSU.

Agreed. Mauti > Prater.

Won't surprise me if Prater eventually becomes an attrition casualty. He won't be doing more than ST work for 4 years.

How do those defenses perform against SEC spread offenses?

Well make up ya'lls damn mind then either you want the small fast ones or a big powerful one.

It's not the just the linebackers fault the Big 10 suck arse against the spread.

No most want big fast ones i.e. Patrick Willis, Brandon Spikes, and hopefully Justin Maclin.

He reminds me of Brian West when he was 5A All-State for West Monroe in 1998. VERY SIMILAR.

Is he to tall to play fullback? There is no doubt about the kids toughness. I still don't thin that people realize was Jacob Hester meant to the Tigers in their run for the national championship. Ask Dale Brown why he asked Johnny Jones if he wanted Ricky Blanton just because he was a white kid. Sometimes it is not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the Dog. How big was Polluck from Georgia?

6'2" 260 lbs. (I just looked it up).

Stop with the white people comparisons. It doesn't matter the color of his skin. There is no reason LSU has to take multiple "Jacob Hesters" each year. For every ONE JH in the entire country, there are thousands that are below average D1 players. "Heart" only gets you so far--there are 100s of kids in LA with the HEART to play at LSU, but Ill take the elite athlete with desire than the marginal take that has always dreamed about playing for a team.

My team vs. your team...Mine wins 95 out of 100 times.

Point is--JH's are rare. Very rare. Stop with those comparisons.
