You do realize he is a true sophomore.... unless he goes JUCO, he is sitting somewhere next year, there’s no point of transferring now. Parrish splits snaps for his Hs team, he isn’t beating out Brennan who will be a rs jr

Na I don’t think JUCO. If he has his shite together in the classroom he can graduate easily in 3 years bc most football guys take summer courses.
So let's think about this for a minute...he graduates in 3 years, which would have him graduating in the spring of 2020. You know, the spring before his red shirt junior year after Burrow's eligibility has been exhausted. The other QBs on scholarship are rising SO/RSFR Peter Parrish and incoming freshman Max Johnson and Finley.
So, the guy who has waited his time and put in the work to be the starter is going to transfer as soon as he's the favorite to win the job?
It just doesn't sound like a great move to me. Transferring this spring doesn't either. Why transfer and sit out a year as opposed to competing with Burrow to be the starter and eventually end up being the backup again, but with the likelihood of actually getting to play since the coaches aren't trying to red shirt him?

Lol who is Parrish splitting his reps with? According to the paper he just threw the game winning TD to put his team in State Championship in 7A ball. Splitting reps lmao. He will be more than ready as a RS FR. If he can be just as accurate as he has proven to be u have ur QB for 2020-2021 year.

If ur ready ur ready. Burrow is a servicalble QB and Brennan couldn’t beat him out and he had more time in the offense. He is part of the reason why O went to get Burrow. Let’s not forget the spring game.

What are you even talking about? If Brennan transfers now he's either going to have to go juco, or transfer to a DI program and sit out a year. How's that any better than sitting behind Burrow another year and being the top dog in 2020?
If he manages to graduate in 3 years, his graduation will be the spring AFTER next season, when Burrow is gone anyway.
I don't see the upside to either of these scenarios.

How about we ask Justin McMillian how that worked out for him @Tulane?
Posted on 11/27/18 at 10:20 pm to 5Alive
Do you not follow recruiting? People have been talking about this since he committed. He splits reps with a 3* 2020 qb.

In blowouts that kid has not played in the playoffs. Do the research yourself!

You realize burrow did the same thing as McMillan, just sooner?
Posted on 11/27/18 at 10:29 pm to bugafor6
shite Trey Miles plays as well so he splits it three ways.

"Our belief is we always want to have another guy ready to go," Dubose said. "So we play two guys every week. Peter may be on the sideline for 2-4 series even in a close game. We also think being on the sideline can help the starter improve. The game kind of slows down for him, and he sees things a little differently from that view."
He splits reps. He did it in the first half of district games, I’m sure he did it in the playoffs as well. You aren’t very good at this research thing.

Holy hell guy. Either I'm not understanding what you're suggesting or you're really dense.
You said Brennan isn't going to sit around and wait another year to become the starter. So, that means he has to either go to a juco school to play next year, or he has to transfer to another D1 program, SIT OUT A YEAR, and try to win the job for the 2020 season.
Then, you said he should be able to graduate in 3 years. Ok, right, then he would be a grad transfer and wouldn't have to sit out. BUT EVEN IF HE MANAGES TO GRADUATE IN 3 YEARS, THAT WON'T BE UNTIL THE SPRING OF 2020!
SCENARIO 1: TRANSFER TO D1 SCHOOL
Sits out the 2019 season
Competes to start in 2020
SCENARIO 2: TRANSFER TO JUCO
Plays at juco in 2019
Transfers to D1 school to compete for job in 2020
SCENARIO 3: STAYS AT LSU
Competes with Burrow again, probably loses, but probably sees some actual playing time as the staff isn't worried about red shirting him and wants to get him more game experience
Has the inside track on the starting job in 2020 for a program he's been at for 3 years
So, only scenarios 2 and 3 have him playing any football next year and I think it's much more liekely he starts as a 4th year jr at LSU, than if he goes to juco and then transfers to another D1 school where he has learn everything from scratch.

I’m sure he didnt. Not one score from Melton in the playoffs. All qb involved scores were from Parrish including with the state championship birth on the lines last week and guess who throws the game winning TD? That would be Peter Piper Picked a Pepper Parrish. They blew everybody out the whole year. The one close game they had against McGill-Toolen was 14-0 in the playoffs and guess who scored those TDs? That would be Peter Parrish for 500 Alex.

He is not playing next year period. He will sit again behind Burrow during the 2019-2020 season. I think after spring just like McMillian he will roll out as a grad transfer. 2020-2021 year he will be playing in another uniform. It’s the same situation as JM who now starts at Tulane and has another year. What’s so hard about this? JM didn’t leave LSU until August.

Exactly. Why would he leave as a grad transfer for 2020-2021 AFTER Burrow is gone and he's got the clear inside track to starting at LSU?

Right. And the same situation Burrow came into LSU under. I just don't get why Brennan would transfer in August when he's probably going to be our starting QB going into the 2020 season.

So did JM but he left. He was the most senior QB on the roster. I get what ur saying but scheme wise if we are really moving to these QBs runs with RPOs, let’s get the QBs moving that we now see with Burrow and ,Brennan isn’t half the athlete that Burrow
,is it’s not a good fit for us and for the player.

So he took a RS for no reason? Come on man. If he was leaving then be would have this year. Instead he took a RS. He's well aware of what Burrow did this year and he's not leaving. He's waiting another year and he'll have two years to play.
If we get two 2020 QBs then one of those guys will likely transfer out considering Parrish will play for a year or two, it won't leave both with much time. One of them would have to RS to be able to play for just one year.
I see that as a great problem to have. You have to admit that the QB quality has gone up exponentially. IMO it should be the kid from Country Day who we offer with Finley or Johnson but get the kid from CDH for sure. He's a gamer and probably wouldn't waste any time committing.
If we keep signing great QB recruits like it looks we are trying to do then it's only a matter of time before all the offensive records at LSU are shattered by that one special QB

I have said all along Brennan never starts for LSU. First of all, his body type isn't SEC material and second Orgeron never really wanted him.
If rumors are true of Salsbury becoming the qb coach, then its easy to read between the lines that he and Johnson are a package deal. In other words, Johnson is the future of the program and Brennan will transfer.

I think Brennan starts the year after Burrow leaves. O has already said that Brennan is a championship QB for LSU. You don't let that arm talent get away. LSU is shaping up to be ok moving forward with quarterbacks.
