Read down the article - his HS coach (football, not track) talks about him deciding based on what school will provide the best opportunities for his track and football careers…

Know there’s been a lot of talk about his mom and choosing a school based on academics, so this seems like some positive news for LSU.

Pretty sure his aunt is Tamara Ards.

Difficult to come by track news but I saw boo schexnyder went back to private consulting. Huge loss for LSU because he’s been a huge reason the program has been churning out world class sprints and bumps again. Our sprint program will be fine but he really brought lsu back to being a powerhouse in jumps

Not his actual aunt. In different cultures auntie is sometimes used like a term of endearment.

I gotcha. Yeah, even with boo leaving harbor would be wise to go to lsu if he’s serious about track. There are fair criticisms of Dennis shaver but he’s unquestionably an elite sprints coach. We’ve beaten pat henry at nationals many times with far less resources than A&M.

I’ve got an uncle at UM doing medical research. They’re basically public ivy, but harbor could still be a Rhodes scholar like Myron rolle was at Florida state.

South Carolina’s track program is pretty damn good at the 400m and hurdles but they’re nothing next to lsu. The same goes for Michigan.

If he chooses Michigan it’ll have nothing to do with track, so if he’s serious and those are his top three I’d be pretty shocked if he didn’t choose LSU.

Luckily for us Brian Kelly actually mentors people for life and is principled, unlike shrimp boat.

Like New Orleans culture. My kids call several people "aunt" or "uncle" who are not even related.
