"Notre Dame Fan Club" (whoever they are) has a hunch that Kiel is going to SEC - probably LSU. Good to hear the sounds of surrender coming from South Bend...

Question for recruiting gurus:

-Obviously not knowing how any recruit will pan out once he gets here, on paper would Kiel be one of - if not the - biggest recruiting coup in LSU history?

Landing Keil would certainly take a lot of the sting out of waking up one morning to find out that LC committed to Bama.

I sure hope we land one of these two. Lawd help the SEC if we get both!

Recently, I think it's PP7.

Overall... I wouldn't venture to guess.

In the BCS era, Peterson is still the best. He was a national recruit, that all 3 Florida schools and USCw wanted and we got him. That's doing work.

Kiel would rank up there. Like Harvey Williams and Sam Montgomery.

Yeah, it's been in the thread for several pages now.

There were two separate instances of it, I believe. Once at a basketball game and once at an award ceremony.

The award ceremony was at the basketball game if I'm not mistaken.

I gotcha...but in the sense that QB is the most important position on the field, IMO attracting a #1 OOS QB would rank above getting PP7

Ah cool, that pretty awesome. Sounds like we have fans at Indiana high schools (or maybe they hate ND like the rest of the planet...)

Same instance. He received the Mr. Indiana Football award at the Basketball game.

There was a separate incident that I believe led to the LSU chanting by the students. At the schools award ceremony last week or so Gunner wore a purple tie, which evidently had people whispering that maybe this meant he was going to LSU. That's where I believe the LSU conjecture with the students originated.

Well, if he's Garrett Gilbert, it won't matter.

PP7 was one of those rare, zero bust factor type of prospects. There was very little chance he didn't succeed.
