Bussey will be a difference maker if he comes here.

Is Bussey projected as a CB or WR?

From his scouting profile:

Athletic and on-field profiles may more ideally lend to defensive projection, but relative lack of height and frame potential may force to receiver in the long run.

That would suck considering we're pretty much the ones that discovered him.

Just our luck. Georgia has a lot of momentum due to the last 2+ years. Might not be the end of the story but really unfortunate considering our CB situation right now too.

Was it the Ole Miss game or the Missouri game when you came to this conclusion? The excuse makers in here..

How come no one I’ve talked to in here can admit the secondary recruiting has been less than desirable?

Oh, so you know jack shite about football. Gotcha.

The defensive backfield has gotten so much of the blame this year, and much of it is unwarranted. You have to look at the entire defense to be able to understand where the leak is and how to fix it.

Deion Sanders and Champ Bailey couldn't cover receivers for 10, 12, 14 seconds. When the play breaks down due to so little pressure from the front 4 or 7, and receivers downfield then start to leaking into the open areas of the field, that is not a failure of the CB. Failure to keep the QB at least contained has as much to do with our defensive back struggles as anything.

The Dline, which we all thought was going to be a strength this year has not kept up its end of the bargain, it just makes itself known with completed passes from a defensive back field that for the most part has done a decent job covering the initial play call.

Its easy for people like you to blame the DB's for the mess our defense has been, but when you look at underlying causes and conditions, failure to bring down the QB when pressured, allowing the the QB to break contain, and the improvisation of receivers down field when contain has been broken is more of an issue than the coverage of our CB's downfield.

You can't lay the blame at Steeples feet for any of that.

Now, the shitty angles the safety's take, and their poor positioning pre-snap, and the shite-tastic job tackling can all be laid at Cooks' feet, but Steeples has done a good job at both on field coaching and recruiting.

You may just not be intelligent enough to understand the subtlety of defensive theory and coaching to recognize it.
