I'll add to based on what Geauxwolverines posted. If he gets upset he can change his tampon. I really don't give a frick.

Coach Owens ? @simplyCoachO Just talked to Coach Ensminger at #LSU good guy
Thats Justin Manning's coach. I do not like Ensminger heading up that recruitment but it is what it is. Keith Niebuhr ? @KeithRIVALS
4-star DE Frank Herron of Memphis Central hopes to visit #LSU on March 17 ... but hoops could get in the way
Looks like Mike Heurman had a good visit. Hung out with Zach Mettenberger and DJ Welter yesterday.

The premium Scout 3/08/12 Beckwith article leads me to believe it's a two horse race.
He said there are no more schools he's waiting to hear from with offers from:
LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Louisiana-Lafayette and Tulane.
Would take him as a LB or DE.

Rather see him at DE it's time to reload on the D-line.

Same here but with him saying he's been talking to Les about LB and Les has said yes to it, I'll take him at either position.

I just look at all that talent LSU took at the LB position but your right Chinese anywhere he can see the field.

Interesting, hopefully he can help recruit him to LSU

Great job as always.
Heuerman- I'm getting good vibes from everyone about him. Does he make his own way or follow his brother? I get the feeling if he chooses anyone other than OSU then we'll be the one. His dad is a big dude. Makes Mike look smallish
Fanaika- I still hear Hawaii is the team to beat but really it seems that is just pure guesswork. Even the UF guys I talk to don't know much.
Lacouture- I think he's ours if we're willing to take him. Michigan is one to watch but I definitely feel we have the lead. Would we take him right now? I feel we would but that is only a guess.
Walker-he gives off good vibes about LSU but everything else I see and have seen points to UF/FSU. We'll see how he feels in the next few months.
Gilmore-I'd love to get him but I'm not putting much faith in it until we see how things stand this summer.
Patterson-Similar is talent to Terrell Lathan from last year's class and I was an advocate of Lathan and am an advocate for Patterson. Fits our DE position very well and could actually develop enough to play either side. I think he's behind Williams instate but he's take worthy imo especially if Beckwith is being seriously considered at LB.
Herron- I saw some stuff on him 2-3 weeks ago and was pretty impressed but didn't really pay close attention. Talented kid. Think he would grow to DT down the line.A very athletic one. Like the offer even if he stays outside but much more if he moves inside.
Dixon-Not anyone I trust with close ties to LSU recruiting circles believe he is in line for an offer. Camp guy and would have to blow away the other coaches. Imo there is too much competition for the other 1-2 safety spots in the class. I like Perkins better instate and think we can land an OOS kid if we want to.
Claiborne-Good thing this kid is patient and even keeled. Otherwise we would be done in bis recruitment. I really don't get what the staff is not seeing. Of the 6 LBs we took last class only Jones and Alexander were definitively better prospects at LB than Claiborne imo. I think Louis has more talent but he's not the same LB at this point as Claiborne. Who knows for sure if Phillips and Feist can adjust to playing true LB. I just don't get it. Keep seeing size being the reason but that holds no water. Half the LBs in last year's group were the same height or lower than Claiborne. Maybe I'm the one seeing something wrong.
Not pleased at all with the Massington development. Looks like we're focusing on the instate kids at wr and the Juco's for size at wr. Also Massington is just waiting for that Longhorn offer. Miles as well. Sucks but that's recruiting. Looking like a wr class of Baker, Jefferson and Diarse instate with a 4th being a size guy if it's the right one. Jefferson is a change for me as I thought he was a CB but it's looking like WR is the play right now.

I saw him in an interview and he said he wants to play in a 3-4 defense. I think he is much better suited for a 4-3 but what do i know

Mike Heuerman is in BR
sounds like the visit is helping LSU.
With Miles known the dad so well and him wanting to go his own way, LSUs gotta be in pretty good position. He's got offers from Auburn, FSU, Ohio State, ND, USCw, and Vandy.
Him and Smith would be a good TE class, but would we take one more, that is more of a blocking TE?
Posted on 3/10/12 at 11:25 am to LsuTool
Heuerman already blocks extremely well for his size now
Posted on 3/10/12 at 11:33 am to GeauxAggie972
So you think he and Smith would be a wrap for this class at TE? Does he catch well too? Haven't watched any video on him.
Posted on 3/10/12 at 11:47 am to LsuTool
Oh yes, I think those two would make for one hell of a TE class. There is video of him on the first page. Will need to add weight but he can be a great TE
