He is an idiot. He tries to cover Mississippi State recruiting while living in Louisiana.
He also was nicknamed Rosebowl for writing his infamous MSU to Rose Bowl back in 2001

I fell you but his primary reason for the trip to Dallas was the Nike camp. The UT visit was just something that he and his dad decided to do but were basically told that the staff wasn't going to make time for him. Not saying Texas was wrong for that because his film hit very late(as him being offered in bunches now as evidence) so I can understand them not really knowing how good the kid was. The issue I have is that if they really feel he is someone they may want now they should offer more than a possible offer for a $1500 trip. Mack has a strict "no visit, no offer" poilicy and that 's fine but tell the kid if he wants an offer then visit. Texas isn't so cherished a university that kids are going to come from Hawaii for a camp to compete for an offer. The kid's got 50+ offers. He doesn't need Texas as much as they need him in this instance. When their own people are criticizing them, it makes it look worse. All perception whether the reality is bad or not.

Herron to LSU is being called by everyone now. Looks as though the guys saying last night his offer wasn't committable may have held water. Seems that Chavis, Les and Haley have made a strong, emphatic push between last night and tonight. Tells me they weren't prepared to pass on him and made the decision to press hard. Also tells me that LSU was #1 all along as we assumed. He just needed the okay from our staff. Let's just hope he chooses the good guys tommorow.
To Bundy and the MSU guys in this thread, I can't speak for all my fellow LSU recruiting fans but this one understands how you guys are feeling tonight. This situation from a fan's perspective, the great feeling one day to the "Fuuuck!" Feeling the next, is exactly how we felt during the 2 day Landon Collins drama in January. The bright side is that you guys still have 8 months to continue to recruit Herron and others on the DL.
