Once LSU rolls the red carpet out for him on his official, I think hes going to end it before NSD. The best thing about it is, he scheduled it after Bama. So he will compare the two and make his decision. I like the fact LSU is after Bama, so if he announces its fresh in his head. I think if he strings it along to NSD, that isn't a good sign. Its not like hes enjoying the process, if you go by his interviews, so I don't see how anyone can view that as a positive. I think right now its LSU, he just wants to make sure and he'll do so after the official.

I agree with you EXCEPT I'm starting to believe he MIGHT wait until NSD. I was thinking he'd announce JUST b/4 NSD. I wuz hoping that he was stretching the truth on that one to take a 'lil pressure off of himself and announce early. Now.....I wonder!

These seem at odds:

Rueben Randle longs for the day when he can have some peace and quiet and return of the life of a normal high school senior.

quote:

Randle revealed that he does not plan to make a decision until National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Seems he has the power to obtain what he longs for.
Something does not compute.

Bull, where ever he plays he will excell. He has the God-given talents to play in the NFL one day no matter where he plays. Kids go to Mcneese and make it to the NFL. The Hat and his mom seem to be getting along fine. I can't see how she would have the same feel for Saban knowing the lies that has come out of his mouth.

Bastrop has a newspaper?

Marq is a good sportswriter.. he has been doing it for a long time at various newspapers.. I have some old articles he wrote about my HS and an article he did on my two older brothers..

also, Matt Deville got his start at the BDE.. now that i think about it, he better be pulling some strings at BHS, thats where he went to HS...

I can't believe no one is "reading" anything into this:

BDE: What schools do you plan to visit?

Randle: I’m going to Alabama Friday for an official visit.
I think I’m going to LSU next weekend.

He "thinks" he's going to LSU next weekend? I'm not saying it means anything, I'm just suprised no one else thought it sounded strange....

I agree. But, do you not think that Randy Moss would've been drafted a lil higher coming from, TX, OSU, etc.....even with off the field concerns.

I didn't mean wouldn't be drafted. I meant, get more exposure.......increase his chances some.

Better QB/OC/situation = better stats
Better stats = higher draft slot
higher draft slot = $$$$$$

He is the top recruit in the country, NFL scouts already know about him. Going to McNeese wouldnt hurt him that much, his name is already out there.

(Smiling) I haven’t heard that one before.

I can see Les and Gary sitting down with Randle watching film, showing Rueben all the different formations he will be starting in. Then I can see Gary showing him a few different formations that he might like to use him as QB. That and RS showing him around campus will be a big bonus also. I like this.

Rueben is not that type of kid. I know him personally and have a brother that has gone to school with him since grade school. Rueben is a honors student and has done well in school his whole life and will do well where ever he ends up.

I'm just sayin.... it won't happen.

The answer is absolutely yes, but you cannot divide the two points. Randy would have been at a big time school had he not screwed up off the field. He was kicked out of Notre Dame and Free Shoes U. Had he signed with Marshall out of HS and not gotten in any trouble he would have been drafted hire as well.

If the guy REALLY doesn't know what he wants to do at this point, what does that say about his mentality. Not very mature, IMO.

Or he is being really mature and making sure he makes the best decision for his future. Maybe he doesn't want to rush his decision. Maybe he doesn't want to be the kid that gives an interview where he changes his mind everytime. Maybe he is going about this as a business type of decision and could give two shits what someone on an internet thinks. Just sayin.
