We have 17 commits at this point. It appears we are done at the QB position. We are looking to take one more DB and OL for sure it appears.

18 with Hill
19 with OBJ.

TK Fleming will be greyshirted. Unless he doesn't achieve the GPA needed to qualify academically then he will attend JUCO.

There's Austin, Eugene, Rasco, Jernigan. These guys I feel good about today. But that puts us at 24, meaning Botts is let loose (which I expect anyway).

Sigler is the only other guy I could see possibly jumping into this class. I think just like last year we are a day late in hitting the country looking for a LB to come in and be a stud guy for us.

I don't think we take Botts, so that puts us at 16. That should leave room for 9 more.

1. Rasco
2. J. Hill
3. OBJ
4. T.K. Fleming
5. Linebacker V
6. J. Austin
7.
8.
9.

The last three spots will be a combination of:

More likely:
D. Carter
H. Flowers
G. Paul
C. Hunter
M. Eugene

Least likely:
Ely Rogers
Shazier
D. Perryman
Bridgewater
Jernigan
Drew
Mickey Johnson

Probably his record with the Sheriff's Dept where he seems to enjoy going back to visit.

They might as well offer him a scholarship. He's already taken his official and about 10 unofficial viists. I'd say the Sheriff is our biggest competition in signing Fleming.

Also, I saw somewhere the other day that he pretty much has to ace his classes the rest of the year to qualify. I honestly just don't see that happening. I'd be willing to get he goes JuCo and we use that slot on someone else and pick up Fleming in a year or two.

1. Rasco
2. J. Hill
3. OBJ
4. J. Austin
5. Voldemort
6.
7.
8.
9.

I don't see Fleming making it, I hope I am wrong, but his history is just terrible. I see him going to JuCo route.

For the last four I'd guess we snag these guys:

Bridgewater/Rogers (I know this looks almost completely off the table, but I figured they're worth adding to the list if Miles pulls off a miracle.)
Jernigan
M. Johnson
Perryman
Drew
Paul
Eugene

Like I said in m OP. He's a greyshirt and greyshirt only. And that's only IF he makes the grades. He has to have a 3.0 from here on out to qualify.

It's not about pulling off a miracle. The staff likes it's QBs and are not interested in hand me outs (Rogers).

We are done at QB unless Dak has a change of heart. They went and saw him Monday but he said he's sticking with MSU at this point.

Does Micah Eugene have an offer? Or are y'all just expecting him to be offered soon?

This is the gray area for me. I know LSU wants one more DB and they'd like for it to be Eugene.

Now is eligible ? He recently said he had a 2.4 GPA which means I believe he needs a 20 on the ACT. Someone correct me if I'm wrong in that.

If he can't get eligible look for the staff to put a press on Moore at the end. Which is why they have him visiting in pate January.

I say Miles signs two big time out of state recruits maybe a DE, DT, or LB.

The only offer he has as of right now is from the Cajuns.

Why is that? Are we expecting no attrition.

I think to reach 23, we have to have 8 other guys leave the program. Not sure on the exact number but I think its 8 that have to leave to reach 23.

I could be wrong, but I thought we were at 17 with Patrick Peterson leaving.

Anybody got solid numbers on this?

if we take an additional defensive lineman i think we should take a look at Brandon Alexander who is at living in Texas but from Louisiana. He's a late riser it seems.

You shouldn't feel good about Jernigan

ONLY because of his grades. He was thought to be basically impossible to sign, think Noel Devine or Dez Bryant but worse. He's in the Michael Ohre case (before you could take 3 years of online classes in a summer).

However, grades aside he is as good as any player in the state not named La'El Collins. He and Fleming are freak of nature athletes who'd have offers from everyone if they didn't have the grades/off-the-field stuff.
