There’s obviously more to this and “opting out” is better than the real story coming out for the kid. The OU 247 board had a list of rumors basically calling him a terrible teammate and saying nobody is mad to see him go.

I started a thread about this a long time ago on tRant. Particularly after Chase and Marshall quit. I tried to warn people of this shitty precedent quitting on your team, or, “opting out” creates. I was downvoted to hell.

They were 5-0 and were getting ready to hit the meat of their schedule and he decides to opt out. Not the kinda kid I want on my team.
