they simply don't do the level of evaluation that the other services do.
Even their NFL draft evaluation is total shite. Having McShay on as their "expert" is laughable. The guy is not respected in NFL circles. He makes Kiper look like Bill Belicheck.
Agree on McShay, he is laughable at times...and Kiper is the Bill Belicheck of his field and Like the saying goes, if you try to be a jack of all trades you will master none and that is what ESPN is trying to do and of course failing...

ESPN was in love with Meyer and Tebow. Now that Meyer is gone Florida is irrelevant to ESPN until Muschamp proves he can win big games. Sorry Gators.

They would be better off just hosting the show about recruiting using an aggregate of the other sources instead of propping up their own half-assed ratings and totally ignoring the fact they they are the Outlier by any objective measure compared to several other legit recruiting sources.
They just have the biggest megaphone.
I really think the SportsDome would do a better job following recruiting

they had them ranked that high cause of urban meyer was on set. cause they wanted him to feel good and not be upset while on the panel.

They've got the money, and could devote an entire channel to recruiting/off field college football.
