lynx, I think the DL rankings are the worse. Not just Ego and Floyd, but Garrison Smith and Chris Martin should also be higher.
And Jordan Hicks is a really good prspect and all, but #2 in the nation????
Agreed.
Like I said, it may be the worst rankings list I have ever seen.

Too bad, I was hoping ESPN could provide a quality alternative to Rivals but I was obviously expecting too much.

It seemed like ESPN's recruiting info had been consistantly better, but this pile of shite is a major step backwards

I wonder if this is either A) a bad evaluation job by a crappy recruiting department or B) done on purpose to try and seperate themselves from Scout/Rivals.

well just to point something out .....
i would bet that you will notice an odd number of the higher ranked ESPN recruits going to the Under Armor game, just something to watch in relation to the players rankings for sites that don't run their own all-star games

So...
Cobbs, who doesn't have a sure position he'll play in college, is a better prospect than Lache
and
Storm is the man, although he didn't even start last year and UGA doesn't want him

I agree that the list seems odd, but the way I look at it is that we got 3 players ranked better than this years #1 last year in RR, RS, and Craig Loston. So in that aspect it makes our 09 class seem that much more special.

Based on how they placed the GA kids, it is pretty obvious they had not done their own evaluating. There is no way that Garry Peters is a top 150 player, let alone a better prospect that Garrison Smith. UGA needs CBs this class, Do you seriously think they would have let a top 150 one go out of state without even an offer....? NOt saying he won't turn out well, but some very good evaluators of FB talent have seen him and looked elsewhere for their recruits. Sorry to pick on the guy, but he is just one glaring example.

I was just hoping for an LSU biased rankings

Whether we admit it or not, evaluators at ESPNU are former college and pro coaches and they know how evaluate kids versus Scout and Rivals. Rivals is the worst by far.
