I think it worked out well for Brossette. I can recall there was some last minute interest in him going to Texas due to the crowded backfield. He's in position to get a larger load this year and then he's the man next year. Kinda like Steven Ridley.

Not only Monroe, but sometimes people forget that we have two 5 stars at corner in Toliver and Fulton, and Saivion was a 5 star that was moved slightly outside of it for some reason. Saivion is who I think will turn into a ball hawking corner for us. I really hope they can split Donte Jackson on offense and defense too.

I really want to see what Cam Lewis and Battle can do at safety.

Half the fanbase thinks we don't have a single other capable back on the roster past Guice and has entirely forgotten about Brossette.

We have capable backs, but none of them hold a candle to what we've had starting at the position since 2013. Cam Akers would have continued that.

If Guice goes down, our run game will suffer significantly. IDGAF about HS stat lines as Guice's was like a mouse compared to Williams and Brossette's, yet he is WAY more talented. I do believe Helaire will be a monster in due time though.

Fulton is gonna be on the field somewhere too.

This is the thing, and I know this is about Monroe, but people forget about Fulton too. But as has been said, people forget about guys that redshirt. What they don't understand though is that you can actually build quality depth when you have guys like Tre White who come back for their senior year. If not for that, you likely don't get to redshirt a guy like Fulton. You don't get to bring guys like Devin White along for a year because of Beckwith. This is how it is supposed to be...I look for more of this...more of building a roster like Bama as we go along, with guys who are able to fully mature before having to learn on the job in starting roles.

And that Ducre was actually a badass RB before Miles inexplicably tried to turn him into a power FB.

These guys should start getting PT now that this is a brand new team now with no one guaranteed anything except for players like Guice and Key. Everyone else should be competing for positions now that Miles is gone, these guys like Ducre and Brossette should get regular PT now and not sit on the side lines like they did under Miles, that's just crazy the way he handled that. These guys would be playing at most schools, Ducre hasn't seen the field since he's been at LSU and Brosette got in maybe 3 game for playing time.

also, the WR's positions should be open with Drake, Stephens, Anderson, and whoever else competing with DJ Chark. At TE's Jacory Washington is another kid I'd like to see what he's got because he hasn't seen the field either since he's been at LSU. lol

I haven't been impressed with Brossette. It might be just me, but does anyone else think he is not near strong enough and runs timid?

I thought he had a few good runs in limited action.

Damn good catch my fault.

I tried looking it up again but can't find anything, can only go from memory. All I can tell you is there was some sort of lingering injury people were talking about at the time. He got it worked on during fall camp his freshman year. Maybe someone can specify

Watch people jump on Brossettes nuts when I he actually gets significant carries and has some kind of role this year.
