One positive "I support my coach" thought:

Miles had the courage to do the right thing and say enough was enough with Loux. Loux had his chances, warnings, and support. Lee was thrown in the fire because Loux messed up and Lee will benefit in the end as he builds, grows, and matures.

I support Lee and he's gonna be a great one but he's young. I do believe that if he were our QB we might just have 1 loss. Miles knew what position this move would put us in and he did it because it was the right thing to do and he didnt wanna sell the soul of this program. Frankly, I love that about Miles, character, integrity, and loyalty.

What about me too?

Just kidding...I don't care as long as more and more of the negativity goes away. These kinds of threads are so much better to read.

Another positive...

Chad Jones with a pick last game. I've got a feeling that Chad is gonna tear it up this week and for the rest of the season.

That right there made me laugh..
I was thinking of this last night. How mind boggling would it be to have Loston, Jackson, Peterson, Jones in the same secondary..
LSU would undoubtably be the most feared defense in America for every QB and WR playing today....

Stag8 Posted this a few days ago:

"It strikes me virtually every time I read a new article on one of our current commits that this class is full of high character athletes who are real leaders. I've followed recruiting closely now for quite a while, and I can't remember a class with so many guys who say and do all the right things to the extent of many of the members of this class. I honestly think that the additions of guys like Shepard, Davenport, Ford, Calhoun, Pratt, Jackson, etc. will pay huge dividends in the locker room over the next few years."

apex this thread is awsome brooks, phelon, jai, hawkings, peterson, jones, baker, stefoin, davenport, i could go on and on about the exciting prospect of the future.

once the qb play gets straight i honestly believe the team will go ahead with a full head of steam..

call me crazy but i am telling you that once thease seniors are gone the team will be ALOT BETTER.

Dmitch (Rueben Randle's Brother) posted after Bama game:

this past weekend (Posted on 11/10 at 10:40 a.m.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"whats up people? had a great time this weekend in baton rouge. met some cool people and enjoyed a great game.

lots of you guys recognized my brother and josh downs which was cool.

the atmosphere was great and the student section rocked all night.

i even gave up on something special because my brother was in his room "bored" so i passed it up to go get him. damn lol

he was not on an official so i had to take care of him and josh, which was cool.

met lots of recruits and our mom told hicks he looked like he wanted to jump on the field and play lol, he was realy into it and i see he made his decision so congrats. he sat on the row in front of us.

sheppard was cool and chris davenport is crazy. he had me and my dad laughing so hard at some of his stories. jarvis jones thought i was crazy. he was with my brother and josh and i just wanted to make sure they had a good time.

thats all i can remember for now. will post more if i remember"

True story about Ciron Black! (Posted on 12/19 at 11:21 p.m.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a little boy named Michael V. Conger. Michael is in St. Jude's hospital battling cancer. Three days ago he received this blog on his web site.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2007 10:19 PM, CST Hey Michael, I recently saw your story and wanted to have the honor to write in your guest book. My name is Ciron Black. I am the left tackle for the LSU tigers football team, im also number 70 and I saw you wearing that jersey number, that's a great number by the way:). You know some people see us as heroes because of how we play but the truth is people like yourself are the real heroes. I see all the small problems I face are nothing compared to the hardships that you may go through. God has a plain for all of us and for some reason he put it on my heart to write you tonight...if it is at all possible I would love to talk to you. My number is #%$^%^&$#% anytime day or night if you need someone to talk to. Hang in there buddy and just know that anything is possible through Christ.

Your Friend,
Ciron Black

P.S. I would love to write your name on my wrist tape as I get ready to take the field on Jan. 7th for the national championship. Let me know if that is ok.

Michael's family, who lives in Prairieville, called and met up with Ciron to take pictures and thank him for his support. Ciron gave them a football signed by the entire team. I don't know about you, but this is the kind of player I want representing LSU in the NC. Maybe Ivan Maisel needs to read this since he has no respect for our football players and the type of men that Coach Miles has on his football team.

How awesome has #79 been? BTW a 3 star

A 5 Star All American in my book..

Hope he comes back for one more!

"LSU is an amazing program. Their tradition is outstanding. The way I look at it, the school's not lucky, I'm lucky to be getting a chance to play in a program like theirs." –- Russell Shepard

Chris Davenport
(Posted on 9/28 at 11:25 a.m.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"all of the coaches are so great and I can’t wait to get down here and play for them,” said Davenport. “I don’t know how any recruit could come in and see everything LSU has, and meet all of the coaches, and not want to play here. I don’t know how that can happen.”

Akiem Hicks

The skinny: The 6-foot-6, 295-pound Sacramento City College defensive tackle was paramount in the Panthers' recovery from a slow start. His strength, technique and skills made him a national recruit, too, and he has LSU fans buzzing on chat-room sites after giving the Tigers a verbal commitment to play in Baton Rouge for his junior and senior seasons, starting next fall. Hicks spurned offers from programs such as Tennessee and Oregon. What sealed the LSU deal, he said, was watching the Tigers host No. 1 Alabama live and up close.

The wow factor: Hicks said he was nearly speechless at the sights and sounds of game day at LSU, and this coming from a young man who has the gift of gab. "It was the most amazing experience of my life," he said.
