Take it for what's it's worth but my cousin who is a middle tier prospect out of Memphis told me Gooden was a silent to LSU. They were both at a prospects luncheon for the state of Tennessee. My cousin plays for Brighton High. He is also the one that told me speedy wasn't coming here based on a camp they attended together at LSU. Said speedy was caught stealing gloves and shirts from the equipment room and a pretty big deal was made of it by the coaches at the camp.

never liked speedy's attitude. you could tell he wanted to win so bad this past week lol. he tried so hard. he talked so much crap last season too before the game.

Are you saying we retracted his offer? Because it didn't look that way during the UA game before he committed.

I can also verify this story as a friend of mine who is a District Attorney's Assistant told me that same story about Speedy stealing at the camp. I hope your cousin is right on about the Gooden kid, would be a huge pickup.

He didn't say they retracted the offer, but they made a huge deal out of it at the camp and speedy was embarrassed in front of possible teammates and the coaches. Later at the camp he heard speedy dropped Lsu below other schools. Now I don't know if coaches encouraged it or what. He wasn't in the meeting they had with speedy following the event.

I think that was a DB that was at A&M, not speedy's uncle. Don't remember the name.

He has always spoke very highly of LUS and expressed desire to be a tiger. I am really ready for Emmit to either Shite or get off the pot. Glad we will find out for sure in a few weeks.

Not a rumor. It was known this happened by more than a few people. If you read a couple others that posted on here it was confirmed it did happen. And also wasn't trying to bash him I was showing that I have gotten reliable information from him before.
