Early signing period date, dline ?

May swing & miss. I truly hope not!

Recruiting Alexander and Lawrence

This has been by far the biggest disappointment of O’s recruiting, especially since this is his specialty. I have no idea how we don’t have multiple d lineman in every class that are really good players. Every other program in the top 10 does.

My thoughts exactly. Has anyone heard of Emery experts to sign early? Dline recruiting has to pick up!

Well, Farrell has already outperformed his ranking, Logan and Cotton were 4-stars, Jenkins had an Alabama offer, and either you forgot our nose guards or else we're only trying to fill two positions, in which case we have plenty for 2020.

As always, the reason we need more Dlinemen THIS year is because we need to man the line three years from now. We had a huge, and very good, dline class last year and ZERO of them are contributing this year. That's not because they aren't good; it's because that's the way you're supposed to build a dline.

You didn't quote the first half of my statement about needing atheletic DE's. And it's 2.5 positions since Shelvin and Livingston will be lucky to play 50% of the snaps combined at their weights.

We HAD a huge group with 5 but with 2 going to the OL we're left with Cotton, Jenkins, and Livingston. 1 DL this year in Evans is 4 DL in 2 years. 1 4* and 3 3*'s. Like I said we need an impact guy this year or these 3*s need to be criminally under ranked.

Go back and look at the rankings for the mid 2000's. Those dominant lines weren't built on guys ranked in the 20-30s at their position.

The staff and Emery Sr. are both wanting him to sign in December. I think at this point he's pretty solid.

We play a 3-4.

Looking at the roster we lile 12 D-linemans and 0 seniors.

And right now, none of the juniors should leave for the NFL.

Not saying we are alright, because its obvious we need depth, but its not as dire as everyone makes it out to be.

Maybe 11. Just counting anyone with a DE, DT, or NT. I think there is one that obviously wont play.
