Early Enrollee Question

I just saw on 247 that UF had 9 EE's and LSU only has 2 (Harris, Paris).
Why are the numbers so low this year? And are all players allowed to enroll early into college? or not?
Thanks

I think you're only allowed a certain number per year. And I guess only 2 wanted to EE this year

got to take into account that it's pretty difficult to graduate early in louisiana
plus florida lost a lot of players due to attrition so they literally had to have EE's.

CRob, Hootie, Tony Brown and Speedy were all EE's that we lost out on.

Also one thing that has come up for private school guys, most schools are not on block schedule. This sometumes is a barrier for some private school guys to graduating early. Also private school guys in my opinion tend to want to graduate from their respective HS with everyone else more so than public school guys.
Les and staff are very selective in the EE/Grayshirt game and in the end I think it works out well. Some schools will have come back to bite them, believe it is a good sign of a strong program to have consistent recruiting classes, both numbers wise and position wise.

Assuming you mean enroll on scholarship, the answer is no. The limitation on EEs is the 85, not the 85 for next season, but the 85 for the just completed season. You can add EEs only until you reach the 85. You can increase the number by the number of players who leave that have graduated by this past Dec--i.e., early departures for the NFL do not increase this number unless they have graduated (they do matter in the 85 for next season though).
