So I'm curious, what exactly does everyone say to him that sways his decision? Outside of the teammates he will play with, the targets he will have, the elevated level of competition to play against..etc.

How come so many of you liked the conment that he was an LSU lean now as franks was gone and could step straight into playing time yesterday? but now down vote this guy for pretty much the same thing? Another QB afraid of competition, the same thing you all bagged franks for
Personally I would rather either Haskins or Russo over Lowell. But how could anyone even consider not taking a QB for this class in hope to land Lowell next year? Not too mention he considers his home school as a second option anyway.

Ive been thinking he was going to go to OSU but I'm starting to believe

Good luck Tigers. I expect OSU to pull it out since he has felt comfortable with OSU for longer, and most of the time that wins out in the long term
I think that is a legitimate opinion.
Sorry you're getting dv'd for a simple opinion. Some people downvote just because they disagree with someone on a valid point.

All good points. I'm guessing his parents are asking all the questions regarding academics and environment. Just getting an OV this late in the game is always a good thing.
Let's be honest, with an elite football player, academics is a push at worst. We're not talking Harvard versus LSU here.

I don't give a shite anymore about this kind of stuff. We've dealt with too many primadonnas over the last 5-7 years that hold our program hostage with this mentality only to spurn us down the road.
It's a red flag for me when a kid asks to be the only qb recruit or only lb recruit. They are unwilling to compete and unwilling to help a program out that they will play for.

Yeah. It's almost better to take a three star, cause then you don't have a prima donna on your hands. The QB position takes time in our system. Just is what it is.
Would love to have Narcisse, but it's kind of ridiculous to expect to start as a true freshman cause you want to be just like Manziel or Winston. It's just not a desirable attitude for a quarterback.

I just hope cam learned his lesson. Never trust a recruit or his family. Always have backup plans. And never let a recruit hold the future of the program/position hostage.
Talent is great, but you can easily find a replacement at a program like LSU.

Easternrio you've been very confident that Haskins will end up at LSU, you have some inside info on the situation or have you just been assuming he'll be at LSU? Honest question, no flame.

Is Lowell redshirts, wouldn't he be a RSophmore when Haskins is a junior?
Edit. Was thinking Lowell would be coming in this year, my bad...talking about Haskins was making me think 2016.

I don't think Manziel or Winston was a true Fresh when they started. I know Winston was a RS Fresh, but not sure about Manziel

I've heard on several national recruiting shows that it's Harris' mother who is wanting him to stay close to home and is calling the shots. So it is important that she does come with him & gets to see first hand what LSU has to offer.
This is where people underestimate Les Miles. This is where our HC is best on the recruiting trail. He makes "momma" believe him when he tells her he will advise, protect, and look after her little chicken. Mom's all around the country have sent their boys to play for Miles. Miles repeatedly stands by his players year after year; only dismissing them after several MAJOR violations.
Let's not forget; how he handled the Jenning's issue last summer; that goes a long way on the recruiting trail. And it predates LSU (see Sal Aunese.)
That's what Miles "sells" these women. And they know he will keep them out of trouble, look at their grades, and help them when needed. He's money when it comes to momma.
