Well the staying close to home thing that we've been hearing seems to be true...a friend of mines son goes to school with him and word is that he seems to be favoring the Gators..just relaying what I've heard..

Home angle may lead to us getting Van Pran and losing Dumervil.
Will be interesting to follow.

He and Roy are the absolute most important guys left out there for us. Those two guys are musts.

I'd add Guillory to this list as well. Interesting to see how this class ends up.

So now, I guess the only other thing would be do we focus on Johnson or Evans at Rb

To say he is a must get is to say without him our class is a failure. Simply untrue and short sighted.

Do you want LSU to win championships?
Then yea...he or someone of similar ability is a must.
No modern team has ever won a natty with a meh LT.

Very disappointing if true. We don’t seem to be hot on the trail for anyone right now besides Van Pran. There’s rumors that we may convert Cam Jackson to tackle, but we need more than that. OT seems to be the only position we can’t get right in recruiting.

We need a stud OT in this class and was hoping it would be Dumervil

Chad Lindbergs name has been thrown around.

No need to downvote the OP....kid hasn’t been trending anywhere near LSU for months.

The sad truth: he is trending towards Florida.
We just need to get him back on campus. Looking like an LSU/Florida battle. This is our most important prospect outside of Roy

I would have Dumervil ahead of Roy in importance by a hair since LSU really needs a stud LT.
Roy is right there but he gets the added value of denying Bama an in state DLineman.
1A and 1A-
Haven’t watched Lindberg’s film but he may be better suited for RT from what I’ve read on sites.

Anything more on Crawford? Also haven’t heard his name in a while.
Posted on 7/20/19 at 8:19 am to steve123
It’s been floated around that Crawford has some grade issues. Not sure if that’s true or not, but he was sticking with Arky last I heard.

Crawford has some family ties with Arky. So he will likely stick with them.
Dumervil and his family liked LSU a lot on the visit but distance is playing a factor. I say get him on campus for the UF/LSU game and lets have a John Emery UGA/LSU game effect on him. Remember, this is the first time UF has played in Death Valley since all that hurricane non-sense went down; plus we had the heart-breaking loss to them last year. I think that game will be a show to say the least. Maybe that will convince Marcus to be a Tiger? I hope so.

I won’t bash a kid for wanting to stay closer to home because I would want my family to be able to come to all my games as well. However, the fact that one of his teammates is committed and the opportunity for early playing time at LT have to be very attractive. It’s not like Gainesville is right around the corner from Fort Lauderdale either.

The real head scratcher with all of the issues at LT is the fact that likely after this year, its wide open. Playing time will be there for the taking. CJC is in contact with Marcus daily and all so hope is not lost by any means; still a long way to go. However, the fact he can't show a recruit the depth chart, and convince them that LSU is an amazing opportunity for them has me really concerned with his ability to recruit. I know he's still fairly new at this being year 2, but I know I'm not the only one looking hard at him and meatball. The game is lost on LOS and I'd say our weakest coaches are both LOS coaches. Thats sad being we are a top-tier school.
Having Coach O say he would be a lot more hands-on with the dline this year has me more confident in meatball since he'll have help from one of the best in the country but it shouldn't have to come to that at all at a place like LSU. Think Bama, Clemson, tOSU, etc. has a dline coach that needs help from another dline coach? Probably not.
I'll give Craigg leash till Feb NSD and if he wiffs on top OT/LT talent, I think we need to look elsewhere.
