He came in for a visit (can't remember what game), but I thought it was telling at the time... Maybe a back-up plan?

He is a project, but Robinson wasn't gonna start anytime soon either...

Jonah Austin

That's what Memphis just said in the Region thread, and on Scout, Austin is only I think 3 or 4 spots lower than Region

My bad, I didn't read that thread, Just saw GR committed to AU and posted...

I like Region a little better, because he reminds me of a Herman Johnson clone... A massive, mauling guard.

Austin has great size, but he stands up a little too much, and both him and Trai have to get in better shape (I know, we got Moffit)...

Trai Turner needs to get in better shape.

Austin needs to add more weight and get in better shape, as weird as that may sound. At 6'5", he needs to be around 320 I think

Do you think the staff would prefer him over Region?

He needs work on technique, but anything that runs into him (on purpose or on accident) dies...

Nice...

His technique is actually pretty good. The only thing that he needs to keep his pads lower. It's usually a problem with taller linemen like him, but everything else is pretty good. Love that he plays til the whistle and doesn't stop on a play

Yeah he has got to stay down... But he also has to work on his footwork.

If you are slow as molasses you have got to excellent feet.

But that is all teachable...

One thing you can't teach is SIZE!

His speed actually surprised me in that video. He's decently fast for his height and weight. He will have to work on it though if he's going to be a pulling guard

He's gonna have to work on that midsection and then he is going to be a man.

That's just it... With his size I think he will be a Williford/Herman Johnson mauler type guard...

If he could just redistribute that weight up top he'll be a mean machine...
