I agree to a point, but, I don't think it's that the parent's have the fund's, sometimes it's being at the right school where coaches are connected. Scouts seldom will go watch a game between a couple 1A schools not in a large city. Kids, even with the vast media outlets available today, still fly under the radar. Not sure what the situation is with this player, he has size, so, I suppose even with very little exposure, LSU's coaches see something they like. Brandon Lefell was a 2 star early in his senior season when LSU first got on him. Just saying, star ratings increase with exposure, doesn't mean the player is that much better than he was 2 months before.

Check him out at 00:27 of his highlight reel.

Yes, he is playing at his floor right now. There are very few kids that are his size and that agile, which puts him in an elite category. His technique is raw, and his body isnt as lean as it needs to be. You cant teach reflexive quickness like that. Sure, you can work on top end speed, but he shows flashes of greatness when firing off the snap.

If he were to commit to us, get the right nutritional program and Moffitt's workout regime plus Coach O and Coach Jenkins working with him on technique, yeah, this guy's ceiling is as high as a 5 star, therefore he could easily be in the mid to high four star range.

I would prefer him over any other options for the 2018 class at NG, and especially moreso than Hines.

I don’t think you understand how recruiting works. You don’t offer a kid and scholarship and call him a few months later and say nah never mind.

just watched and I was impressed, didn't expect to see that kind of movement given his size. Weren't that may clips though which makes me a little curious as to why. I've played with a 350 lb DT and a 420 lb nose tackle in my career and neither moved anything close to that.

LSU and other schools do this all the time. The most recent one I can remember for LSU was Clifford Chattman from McDonogh 35 in New Orleans. He was committed to LSU, until the staff told him he should probably look around. He ended up at Texas A&M.
