Very few of our starters were low 4* or lower.

CEH, Jefferson, Lewis, Cush, Charles, Magee, Moss and Queen are the only low 4* or lower I can think of that start.

Sometimes
You don’t have to tell a kid anything other than we’re finding a spot for this guy.

He may still be a take but if they’re recruit 3-4 guys higher ranked than you you may end up riding the bench.

We’re undefeated by recruiting mostly low four stars, so I don’t get your point. Our 2017 class is driving this team, and it was only ranked #7.

So there’s no position upgrades you’d make on this team? Maybe see a DE that can get to the qb? We’re undefeated bc we have a pro playing QB. Don’t be so narrow minded.

IMOO, it will not be recieved well from a top LA prospect that has been committed and has intentions of honoring his word that LSU is now intending to replace you with a higher ranked prospect from another state. All consequences should be carefully considered before employing this strategy.

If this message is conveyed constructively and appropriately the situation will be limited to hurt feelings. If anything this new nationwide recruiting will stop the high profile guys from playing games.
See Roy and Guillory this year. No source here, but I’d have a hard time imagining in previous years, we’d get those guys so early in the cycle.

Yes-hurt feelings, damaged relationships with local football players and coaches are certainly possible. Again, IMOO our coaches must understand the risk and be prepared to live with the consequences, if any.

Hopefully, before we turn away a promising Louisiana prospect, we should be certain that the out of state recruit will indeed pledge his loyalty and follow through to signing with the Tigers.

I think there is another DL that yall havent said that wont make it to campus... and i wont say it on here cause recruits look at this board.. I will say this, i think Lee is going to be a tiger... two other DL that are committed im not so sure about because of the obvious two guys that COULD commit later...
