I do believe LSU will recruit some very good receivers, just based on history and the high-end recruits that are showing interest in the Tigers.
But this staff still has to prove it on the recruiting trail and on the field. Thus far, none of the receivers they have recruited are making waves in practice. It's the veteran guys from the previous staff who are getting drafted in the first round and are poised to shine this season.
This staff's receiver recruits are still very young, so they could turn out to be first-rounders themselves, but as of today, it's a wait-and-see proposition.

Member when we used to say this about DTs and CBs?
1. WRs grow on trees in Louisiana better than any other position
2. LSU has great receivers despite offensive system ran or WR coach.
With DT, there has been a drought in Louisiana and really good CBs were not always from Louisiana (Cali, Bama, Florida, Mississippi, etc).
Brandon LaFell was the last great non Louisiana WR we've had.

Chalky 7 v 7 film is useless. Shazz Preston looked & played like Terrell Owens without pads on
Moore is the truth. I get the Beckham comparisons, but he also reminds me of the kid that just went to USC last season and had a great freshman year.
LSU will be turning a 3 star way down the bottom of the rankings in Lacy into another first round star while Hilton will also get consideration for a top 60 pick if he is healthy all season. It's the main reason why I consider LSU WRU over Ohio St. While they do have some good NFL guys, none are better than our top 2 at any point in time outside of the Saints Thomas for a couple years (Landry and Beckham when they were killing it included), and we don't rely on nothing but 5 star or super high ranked guys like Ohio St has with coach Hartline.
