Yes, players have been getting paid. But the scale is nothing remotely the same.
There are prominent alumni and businesses that would’ve never considered paying a player in the past due to rules that are willing to pay millions now.
Fortune 500 companies are involved.
The idea that’s it’s just the same is ridiculous.
