Hard for me to get disappointed when we miss on an offensive skill player, since this is Louisiana. LSU can easily overcome that. I was just hoping for the recruiting class bump.

All things being equal, hate to lose top LA recruits, and obviously/esp. to Ala. But if LSU "replaces" Allen with Phillips, Mathis with Wilson and Farrell, the losses are mitigated. LSU has receivers and Smith is not a must, but having to play ag. him for those aholes sucks.

I've said it multiple times, kids from amite and Kentwood are absolutely infatuated with Alabama as are the guys that used to play at those two schools. Don't look for us to sign anyone from there in the near future.

IF it's close between LSU and Obama, then this will tip the scale in mama's favor.
Saban is a good recruiter. They didn't need any extra help, but they have it.
