Any real chance that we can land this kid? I don't have a good feeling about him.

Yes but how good of a chance, I don't know.
I do believe that it may be LSU/OU though.

Cobbs will almost certainly be OU...But if he does decide to come on down, I'll be more than happy to take him!!!!

He called UTexas last week and told them he wanted to give them a second look. Might go to a camp in ATX over the summer if his schedule permits.

UT visited him last week and he said he was really liking UT right now. Going to visit or camp this summer.
UT has a history of grabbing top prospects out of OU (Meachem, Gerald Jones, Oku) and I think we will be in it until the end but who knows.
It will be interesting to see how you use Russell Shepard since him and Cobbs are similar.
His top 6 looks something like this:
USC-slight leader
OU
OKState
Texas
Lsu
Tenn

The only real similarity is that they both played QB in high school. Shepard is a much better passer which will allow him to stay at QB. Their speed isn't even comparable, but cobbs is a bit thicker. Cobbs is a WR the whole way.

it says demarco cobbs runs a 4.7 on rivals...that can't be right.

Demarco says he likes whatever team reporter is asking him questions. I wouldn't get your hopes up too high for him. You might just get disappointed.

You can thank Sabin for Meachem. Cobbs is an OU lock in my view, like most other OK kids.
