It would be amazing to get his commitment, but I'm surprised that we are even in the conversation when he hasn't even visited us yet. Anyone know how many visits he has taken?

I too noticed that he has only visited three (according to Rivals) schools so far. If what his mom said is true, then he can use one of his two remaining official visits to come to BR. Afterall, since we have a new RB coach who has also coached that position and a new WR coach, it seems only logical that he has waited this last month to make his official to LSU.

I don't believe that we are the leader, but it sounds good for LSU to get a visit from him in the next month!

I wish that White would come here,I really think that Okie St. is where he's going. No info just from reading the ESPN article he says he doesn't want to wait around to play.To me that means Okie St. or LSU.Texas and Oklahoma have stacked reciever corps. He would probably have to wait at those schools.JMO

We need an X, Y, and Z receiver. So far RR and TT are the projected starters for two of those spots. DW is ready to start at LSU compared to the other WR in the 2010 class and wouldn't have a problem competing (assuming we hold on to Hunter and get Wright and Fobbs). LSU is not "stacked". PT is something our coaches/recruiters won't have a problem explaining to him.

His mom has been doing the recruiting game long enough to know you tell people what they want to hear without being definitive.

Assuming this plane deal even happened

alange, that's what I was trying to say.Texas and Oklahoma are loaded at wr.If he's really looking to play right away then Okie St. and LSU are the best choices.

So we should compare Darius White playing WR to Rueben Randle playing QB in HS?

as of yesterday they are:
quote:

"I've got Oklahoma State, Texas, OU, Florida and LSU hats and I'll pick one," White said.

LINK

quote:

"It's going to be a school I feel comfortable at, a school my mom and grandmother feel comfortable at, a school I know I can get a good education and somewhere I know I'm going to play," said White, who took official visits to Utah, Texas and Oklahoma State. "I don't want to go somewhere that they say I'm a good athlete, but I still have to wait to play. I want to go somewhere I can put in my work right away and play without waiting."

I would feel better about our chances if he had visited.

I hope he realizes that Texas has a few nasty WR's committed.

If he's talking about playing right away then he should be a Cowboy.

ESPN's recruiting guys agree, kind of:
quote:

White is eerily similar to last year's Rueben Randle out wide, only we feel White has more of an explosive second gear and is a little taller. He is a physically imposing target who can really run.
