It's not something that needs to be put to rest. You putting too much into it, it's simply saying the guy was offer but the staff is no longer willing to accept his commitment.

I'm a little surprised he hasn't gotten more interest from out of state schools. I know Alabama (and maybe TCU) wanted him to camp over the summer.
