Russel Johnson with Rivals just tweeted out something about Quad. I don't know how to post it here, but if someone wants to help?

I love this topic/thread, this should be what we see and not all the BS that comes on this site...good luck to you and the recruit!

Does he have any video on youtube? I remember many years ago a HS coach was trying to get Curly Hallman to take a look at a QB in Mississippi. Not sure if he ever did look at him, but the kid wasn't offered by LSU, and he has stated more than once, he would have gone. I guess sometimes others just don't see the potential. Brett Favre would have made LSU better. So would Marshall Faulk, had they offered him a chance at RB. Some people, like you, can accurately predict the potential of HS players that others can't. These recruiters and scouts at LSU have done a great job of identifying players and their potential. Hope you are right about this kid and LSU takes notice. If he has or can get a video on youtube, that will go a long way in getting some attention. Anyway, thanks for the info, I enjoy seeing these players who are under the radar. Especially when they start getting the attention they deserve.

Found some footage on youtube, anyone who wants to take a look at Quad Brown (I highly recommend you do) search youtube-jackson olin versus calera 1st Qtr 2017. What I've seen so far is he has a good arm and is very accurate up to 30 yards. Has good poise in the pocket and moves around without taking his eyes off the routes. Good athletic ability. Probably needs to add a few pounds and gain some strength. Only saw 1 pass so far that was further than 30 yards and he over threw the receiver a few yards. So, I can't really make an honest judgement on his deep ball after only one pass. But he def has potential. I'd compare him to Randall Cunningham as far as his size, athletic ability, the way he moves and throws. He won't be under the radar very long.

Yea, he looks really good. A couple things to work on, needs to step into his throw and throw off his front foot, needs to add a little weight, well not really weight, but strength, but overall he def looks like SEC material, IMO. Good eye on this one coach. But, I have a sneaky feeling, before his senior season is over, barring injury of course, he going to have Bama and Auburn beating down his front door. Plus a few more SEC schools. He see he plays Basketball, does he have any film and is he planning on pursing basketball at the next level? I mean, the kid is tall and athletic and isn't uncoordinated or gangly, so, he going to have some offers, especially since most people are looking for the next Cam or Winston.

Oh, yea, that was a nice throw coach. Hit his man in stride, about 45 yards in the air and Brown basically threw flat footed with just his arm, looked like he just flipped it out there. Looks like this past season was his first to start, so, he will get a lot better with more game experience and a little coaching. As far as I can see, he has the physical abilities to play in the SEC. The intangible qualities are difficult to judge while a kid is still in HS, but from what I've seen he has good field vision and can check different routes. He is def a player LSU should look into.

Preciate the feedback Parrish. He is a good basketball player, but has no interest in playing in College. He could if he wanted to, but that’s simply a testament to his athletic ability.

My favorite part of the recruiting process is watching game highlights of these kids. It's interesting to hear about a player then go watch for myself and see if I see what others do. And sometimes, a kid can just be amazing for a high school player. This Brown kid really impressed me with his arm. Even though he needs to tighten up his mechanics and throw off his left foot, he can still get the ball 45 to 60 yards down the field. And probably can throw further than that. A lot further considering how the ball zips through the air on 20 and 30 yard passes. Once he gets more experience and starts following through with his throwing motion and throws off his lead foot, man, his passes are going to be hot to handle. This critiquing thing is just a hobby that I enjoy. I usually don't go as far as predicting the kind of career a kid will have at the next level, mainly because there's too many intangibles and sometimes success at the collegiate level depends on how good the players around a kid is. Sorry I write so much coach, it's what I do so it just keeps coming out. Anyway, hey, if you see another kid under the radar, mention him here, I'd love to check out some more players. Thanks again, and you and yours have a very Merry Christmas coach.

Hope things eventually work out with Quad and LSU, Coach. Love having kids that want to be Tigers!

Your story is so off. Curley Hallman was Favre's coach at southern miss. That's how he got the lsu job.
