Phillip Sims - QB - ESPN150
Cheasapeake, VA

quote:

More national powers expected to enter the mix for Sims

ESPN affiliate Web site CrimsonConfidential.com reports that LSU, Ohio State, Miami and Oregon have requested film from quarterback Phillip Sims and could be the next schools to offer

The highly-coveted signal-caller will travel to Alabama for a visit in April and mentioned checking out Tennessee, Miami and LSU as well this spring.

He also discussed his timetable, "I'm pretty wide open right now. Best-case scenario is that I commit right after my five official visits. If I don't do it then, this thing could drag out (until January 2010). I'm about 99.99-percent sure I'm not going to end it anytime soon. It seems like every week a new school calls, and I want to give everybody a chance."

Corey Lemonier - DE
Hialeah, FL

Miami-FL, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida State, Notre Dame, Florida, LSU, Arkansas and Illinois are amongst the schools that have already offered Lemonier. He commented on a few of those programs.

"When the LSU offer came it was a big deal," Lemonier said. "That means that coaches are recognizing my ability. I like them a lot and I am interested in them."

ESPN150 OLB Christian Jones
Oviedo, FL

ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect Christian Jones was recently offered by LSU, affiliate Web site TigerGumbo.com reports.

"It's pretty exciting," Jones said Tuesday night after opening his written scholarship offer from the Tigers. "They're in the SEC, and most of the SEC teams are good. If you get an offer like that, it means you can play ball."

The Tigers join most of the nation's premier programs in the mix or Jones, who is also holding offers from Florida, Florida State, Miami-FL, Oklahoma, Michigan and USC, among others.

For some reason, I had to add a god damned kicker section to my list.

Defense updated today. Go check out the new offers.

For those of us who do not follow recruiting too close, thank you. One suggestion, based on my opening disclaimer - can the list of players by position, be ranked in order of likelihood/interest? Or is it already done like that?

Thanks again and

I plan on it, but for now several things are holding me back.

1) The size limit on a post is holding me back from keeping the list complete with links. That' why you see a lot of players with links.

2) It's pretty hard to tell where on the staff's boards individual players are at when there are so many offers out.

3) At this point in the game 90% of kids are just taking in every offer they can get. It's VERY hard to get a grasp of how interested they are.

With that being said, I try to take a little time every few days to edit my word document that I copy and past to this thread and I post my updates about once a week. I plan on making it a list in the order of "most likely to come to LSU" and add each players star ranking when things get a little clearer.

I'm taking all of your info down. I keep a word document with all of the posts. I just can't put up any more players.

I'll try to add these guys to the list, but they won't have links for the time being.

ESPN150 Alfy Hill - DE

Two major scholarship offers came in Thursday for ESPNU150 defensive end Alfy Hill (Shallotte, N.C./West Brunswick). LSU and North Carolina jumped in the mix, joining Tennessee, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, North Carolina State and others.

"Everybody is even right now," said Hill who previously had said he favored the Gamecocks.

Pretty major overhaul today, I cut some of the guys who have offers but are obviously not coming to LSU and I added several new offers.

Also split up LB's and DE's into OLB/ILB and WSDE and SSDE, respectively.

I also made it to where all players with offers (that I list) have a link to their rivals profile.

Telvin Smith - DE
Valdosta, GA

quote:

Defensive end Telvin Smith told ESPN affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com, "Florida State and Georgia Tech are still my top two. As for a decision, if it were up to me I would decide later, but I was talking to my mom and she wants me to make my decision before the school year, so I can have all my classes straight and stuff."

LSU is Smith's latest offer, bringing his total up to nine. Last fall, he registered 97 tackles and 16 tackles for loss.

Unless JFK was a stick figure being humped and saying "stop that", no, not that one.
